Hello friends!
We have to make space. Many times we will have told ourselves something like this, because it is true that over time we accumulate things, even if we don't want to, even if we are aware, without really knowing how, as if by magic one day we realize that we have many things, closets and full shelves. And suddenly one day, we want to look for something and it becomes difficult.
On a practical level it happens to us but the same thing in life, the days, months and years go by and we accumulate moments, experiences and experiences that we keep inside, in our memory and sometimes in our hearts. But there are also times when everything ends up too full, and it weighs on us.
Because like heavy objects there are memories that weigh us down, life lessons that look like stones in a backpack that we unconsciously carry day by day, but we slouch, we get tired and we don't feel as we would like to feel.
What do we do?
There comes a day when we face disaster, we face at the accumulation of useless, old or broken things, at the senseless of keeping so much... We can't take it anymore, and we get to work.
I've done it both ways. I have decided to challenge the feeling of attachment, because we become attached to things, we give them emotional value that they really do not have or if they do, it no longer gives us anything positive, and the same happens with situations, places, jobs and people. Now in our present moment, they do not serve us, we have plenty of them.
And it seems hard to get rid of all that, but why? It's not so much if we're going to feel better afterwards, but of course, it doesn't seem like it, and all of that becomes a mountain for us, an important challenge until we take the first step.
We stare at that full space again and start without much thought, we open boxes, one after the other, and with an aseptic look, a practical mind and a cold gaze, we analyze each object from a certain distance, we speak to each other in the third person: "you don't need that anymore, get out".
And the madness begins, one thing after another, another full garbage bag, until we leave all that empty space. What a feeling, what a release! And how tired too, it's a job that takes time, because you start without really knowing when we'll finish...
But later we realize that it feels good. Cleanliness, order and a certain emptiness that gives us a new perspective and also, most importantly: it leaves us space for NEW THINGS. That's almost something between "feng-shui" and something spiritual, right? Letting new things (and much more) into our life.
Well indeed, in our life we can also do it, and it seems more difficult because there are life situations that seem impossible to change, but are they really all that difficult to leave? Family, work, friends, vices, routines, etc. Perhaps this challenge is more complex, even terrifying in some cases, but not always.
Many things are now different to me, a lot around me has largely crumbled, disappeared, or changed. So life at this point becomes a bright room with space to be filled with new and exciting things, and in a way it is.
But not only things but much more, if something must be accumulated that are wonderful and unforgettable moments, that's what our life is made up of. I leave space, for example, for Hive and those of you who are here. And it's like to find a blank canvas in that storage room at this point to be able to paint my life again, and perhaps many of you who are reading this will appear in that painting, who knows.
When you observe life as an interested and curious observer, you realize details that surprise you and at the same time you begin to understand a little that life has a certain magic, you just have to believe in it and if you want or need it... empty the storage room, your house and your life!
And as my calendar says now that I look at it, keep in mind that… (illustration is by ©Legami).

Thanks for reading! Have a spacious and bright day.
