Beautiful autumn food, what would you add?

Hi friends! It's autumn here and this is about food.

And last night it rained, this morning surprisingly too, it's not the most usual... not even in autumn, but those drops of water that bring us a duller day also give us a delicious and beautiful seasonal meal.

I really like autumn foodsmushrooms or funghi, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, pomegranates, grapes… and many more.

Taking advantage of the fact that I recently went to the market, to one of those open markets (I already did a post about the market, I'll do some more...), in one of those where we find real food sold by close and humble people, who recommend what better, and so it was with portobello mushrooms.

Doubting what to bring, I thought of mushrooms, I asked and she told me that portobellos (mushrooms) are the ones that she, the saleswoman, liked the most, that she cooked them with many different things, so versatile, and with more flavor than the usual whites, meatier too.

I couldn't say no, because I saw them in front of me, they were perfect. And although I am not an expert in the kitchen, not at all, but I had to do something, something good…

In the end, this post is not a recipe in itself, it is the story of a natural product, fresh, healthy, full of proteins, vitamins and minerals, meaty and fat-free, oh and with vitamin D that we so much need. So I pay homage to mushrooms, those brown ones, like some dry tree leaves that fall on the damp earth, on a day like today.

I put the already cut mushrooms in a pan with extra virgin olive oil (that's always the case), and I color them with another healthy and wonderful food, the dark green of the asparagus, with fiber and chlorophyll, among other things. And suddenly I look like I'm in the woods on an autumn day, it's funny, looking at the pan and thinking: "how beautiful!"

Possibly something else could be added, or done differently... for now sea salt, the good one, ground pepper at the time and then... what would you add?

I, as usual, something easy and simple, that simply complements well, pieces of chicken also grilled in a pan, golden, and a touch of mine, powdered grana padano cheese on top. Exquisite!

No more is needed, without complications, good tasty and healthy products, without plastics, seasonal and from the land, that land that gives us so much, also now in autumn. Let's take advantage and enjoy. To eat!
