We are the survivors of the biggest bio-organic cataclysm. Mutagens transformed 99% of the humanity in animated corpse, including fauna and flora. Some of them still hold a glimmer of consciousness and are willing to help in battle, serving as "human" shields. The Animated Corpse was born from the Tar Pits of Creation in the Southern Waste of Mortis and will serve as the first line of defense.
The "zombie shield" is an Alpha/Beta common monster from the Death Splinter. It impresses through above average health, good melee damage and Void ability at level 4. The best part of tanking with the Animated Corpse? The guy doesn't feel any pain and is dead already!
You can burn zombies but you can't beat them!
The normal battle-rules 28 mana cap made me think about a line-up that will take early advantage in the game and impress with "fire-power"

Animated Corpse - Main Tank (aka Burning Man)
Undead Rexx - Off-Tank with OP damage
Undead Priest - Weaken -1 HP to enemies
Twister Jester - Ranged with Snipe
Grim Reaper - Ranged with Affliction
The Animated Corpse was shredded to pieces by the enemy, and I managed to take down the Fire Elemental before the blast grinded too much. The Undead Rexx came under fire and struggled to land heavy heats in the Lava Elemental due to the Shield ability.
Spark Pixies down... Lava Elemental down ... and unfortunately Undead Rex down! The Undead Priest was the only barrier left between the enemies and my rangers, the last stand against a guarantee lost battle.
The Jester took down the Goblin, the Reaper took care of the Troll, while the enemy Spy. It was the Grim Reaper, with a fine stroke of scythe, who delivered the wining blow. See the whole battle here!
Was risky to have 2 ranged monsters in a team of 5 monsters but I hoped that the reduced health of the opponents and the reduced damage will keep the Animated Corpse and the Undead Rexx alive long enough to turn the tide in my favor.
The gamble paid off and I manage to deal enough damage before the enemy reached the ranged monsters. The Star of the Battle was the Grim Reaper whom played the role of Vasily Zaitsev!
