Splinterlands stands out as a pioneering title in the blockchain gaming landscape, blending fun, strategy, and the benefits of decentralization. It is remarkable because of the blockchain integration, accessibility and unique gameplay.
Welcome to this week’s Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge! We’re diving into one of the most exciting aspects of the game: Land and its own set of mechanics!
This challenge is all about showcasing knowledge and insights on land-related tactics and strategies. How to use resources? What about upgrading and using the land effectively?
The Land Expansion was an unique addition that introduces a variety of ways to enhance gameplay, economy, and strategy. Using and upgrading land requires an understanding of how land plots work and also know the resources they produce.
Yes anon... having Land is a perpetual hustle, and a continues need of resources! It's not that simple... but it's not that complicated either. Each land is unique and can produce specific types of resources, therefore the various types will have their own characteristics and resource production potential.
The Land plots are organized into regions and tracks, and owning multiple plots that connect to each other can unlock additional benefits. Also different terrains will provide different bonuses for specific resource types.
But why? The primary use of land is to produce resources that are essential in the Splinterlands ecosystem, such as Grain, Ore, Wood, Magic, and Essence. The "lord" will have to stake specific types of monsters to "turn them on"!
The main target is to upgrade the level of the plot and enhance the production, but this comes with a price! The Land upgrades require staking more powerful monsters and may require additional resources, but each level will boost the resource yield.
The resources produced on land are used to create items and spells, but I am still a newbie in this sector. Crafting items and spells can be useful in top tier battles.
Not using your land? Rent it or sell it! Land plots can be traded in the marketplace, with better prices depending on the rarity, production capacity, and plot upgrades.
PVM has tips for you! As always ... it's quality over quantity! The higher level units will yield better resource production. Specialized monsters suited to the terrain can maximize efficiency.
If you own multiple plots in the same region or track, managing them collectively can yield higher rewards. Stay updated with the news and updates! Be aware of the demand! Some resources will be in higher demand as crafting becomes more difficult with each upgrade.
Thinking about lands and the hustle that comes with them takes me back to the simple days when sailors will claim the plots they discovered! Nerissa Tridawn has Jaina Proudmoore vibes! Both are smoking hot even if both are water mages. Nerissa is a proud warrior of the water, a protector of seas, rivers and lakes.
She uses her enchanted trident to fight the great sea beasts and rescues sailors from death. She was born and raised by the ocean, and could swim before she could walk. Land Ahoy!
Kelya Frendul: +1 Speed and +1 Armor
Hardy Stonefish: Fishy Tank
Nerissa Tridawn: OP Caster
Venari Wavesmith: Caster with Protect
My leap of faith was rewarded, as I had to battle a Life Splinter team that went for Health and Armor. Water is the essence of Life, but water can also bring death.
The Celestial Harpy was quickly taken down by Nerissa, as the Truthspeaker armor was useless. My main question is ... why was the Pelacor Arbalest set in the second position? What a dire mistake!
The Arbalest had the same fate as the Harpy, and the Chaos Agent followed both on the bottom of the sea. My army was still undamaged half-way through the third round and I was right ... the tides or war are tied to Tridown!
Nerissa had sniper stats, with 4 kills from 4 shots! She added the Gargoya Scrapper on the trophy list, and it looks like she could handle the whole battle alone. Hot and lethal!
Stitch Leach down and 5 from 5 from Nerissa. The Truthspeaker wasn't spared, and went down in round 6, as Tridown made the 6th victim. FLAWLESS VICTORY! See the full battle here!
