A bit over 100 years ago, hundreds of thousands of Armenians were murdered in the Ottoman Empire, in what is now Turkey. And Turkey refuses to admit that it even happened. Today is the rememberance day of the Armenian Genocide. The more despots try to silence matters like these, the more we need to bring them up and talk about them. History must not be forgotten! Therefore, I want to dedicate this piece of music to the Armenian people, and to the rememberance of their suffering!
