What's the Compound interest?

Compound interest is the addition of interest to the principal sum of a loan or deposit, or in other words, interest on interest. It is the result of reinvesting interest, rather than paying it out, so that interest in the next period is then earned on the principal sum plus previously accumulated interest.

The Estimated Interest Rate that i used it's the estimated annual interest rate of the S&P500, and the website that i used it's www.investor.gov

Here the chart shows how the savings are growing each year. As you can see the red line rapresents the future value and the green/blue one rapresents the contributions that you invest every month.
