The US has a problem (duh)

The US has a lot of problems, but there's one in particular that bugs me out every time.

If you travel to just about any place in the world, you sit down at a restaurant or a bar, or you walk into a store or whatever, and the price you see is what you're paying for.

No hidden fees or anything like that.

The US, as far as I'm aware, is just about the only country in the world that does not include sales tax into the price, which is stupid. Very very stupid.

If you're American, I'm sorry, but that's an idiotic system.

Elsewhere in the world, sales tax is baked into the price so you know what you're going to be paying for. You don't need to do math, you don't need to do anything. If the price is $20, you'll pay $20, not $21.57 or $22.41 or whatever.

Also, sometimes, some establishments include an 'automatic gratuity' for 'your convenience', which is also bulls**t.

Tipping should be an appreciated reward for a service well rendered, not a way to subsidize a system that provides lower-than-expected (and lower-than-normal) salaries.

It's a fcuked up system.

Or is it just me?
