My Top Crypto Faucets - FaucetCrypto, PipeFlare, Global Hive, & Horizen Faucet

Introduction

Crypto faucets have been around for quite some time. They provide a way for people to earn "free" crypto without needing to purchase them through exchanges. Different faucets will have different yields. With some, you can claim a tiny amount hourly. Others, you can claim daily. A lot of faucets provide the opportunity to earn more than what the faucet offers through PTC ads, games, and offerwalls.

Something to keep in mind is that you should never expect to earn a whole lot of crypto from these faucets. In addition, while you may not be paying money for the crypto you earn, depending on the faucet, you may be paying your time instead hence the quotations around "free".

Underneath are four faucets that I currently use: FaucetCrypto, PipeFlare, Global Hive, and the Horizen Faucet. One is based on its relatively high yields compared to other faucets and the other three are based on their ease of use.

FaucetCrypto

Of the many faucets I've tried, FaucetCrypto has one of the highest yields. You can claim from the faucet every 40 minutes, but you can also earn coins from PTC ads, shortlinks, and offerwalls. Every time you do a task, you earn 10 experience points. The points will allow you to level up and increase the amount of coins you earn per any task. Offerwalls, especially, benefit greatly from this as the boost is percentage-based.

FaucetCrypto also offers weekly and daily achievements based on the number of PTC ads you've watched per week and the number of completed shortlinks per day. The rewards contain experience points which can help you level up more quickly as well as coins.

Every time you do a task, there is a chance that you obtain a drop. Drops are items that can do various things including reducing the faucet wait time, increasing the amount of experience points earned per task, increasing the amount of coins earned per task, and increasing the percent chance of obtaining a drop. The items also have rarity rankings from common to savage. The higher the rank, the greater the effect. What's great is that you can save your items for as long as you want, meaning no expiration dates.

Lastly, FaucetCrypto provides lots of options on what cryptocurrency you want to withdraw. There are the obvious Bitcoin and Ethereum (though you need to use FaucetPay). However, there are many altcoins like LTC, ZEC, ZEN, TRX, BCH, and more.

Even though this is among the highest yielding faucets, it does require putting time into earning coins. This is not good for people who are busy and need to do work that requires undivided attention. But if you have a lot of free time to burn, then it may not hurt to give it a try.

PipeFlare

This faucet allows you to earn ZEC and DOGE daily (technically, it's every 23 hours, so less than a day). Compared to FaucetCrypto, this one doesn't take that much attention. In addition, you can boost the amount you earn per claim through Power-Ups. You can link your social media accounts like Facebook and LinkedIn to multiply your claims by up to 1.75x. If you claim on the Brave browser, then that's another 2x. PipeFlare also awards you for making consecutive daily claims. Every sixth day, you will get a free spin and every seventh day, you will earn 2x to 3.5x the typical amount.

Global Hive

This faucet gives you ZEC and you can claim every 24 hours. Just like PipeFlare, you can increase the amount you earn per claim by linking your social media accounts (up to 1.9x) and using Brave (10x). If you claim in consecutive days, the yield will incrementally increase: 1x, 1.2x, 1.4x, 1.6x, 1.8x, and 2x. If you claim for 5 consecutive days, then you can earn some extra ZEC with a free spin.

Horizen Faucet

The ZEN faucet works in almost the exact same way as Global Hive. The obvious difference is that you earn ZEN rather than ZEC. There are some differences such as Brave giving you only a 20% boost as opposed to serving as a 10x multiplier. However, you can boost your faucet earnings by 1.5x if you use a verified wallet. In my case, I use Sphere which is available on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

This faucet also provides HODL bonuses. The more ZEN you hold in your verified address, the more rewards your receive.

Closing Thoughts

No, you're not going to get rich from using these faucets. If you want to make bigger earnings, then you will have to purchase crypto and learn how to time the market (or just HODL).

But if you want to earn a little bit of crypto here and there, then it wouldn't hurt to try. If you don't want to spend too much time, then I would recommend using PipeFlare, Global Hive, and the Horizen Faucet thanks to their non-distracting daily claims.
