I received what amounts to around $250 worth of prizes from the Decentraland Treasure Hunt.  I thought that I would make a follow up post to my previous article that went over how to enter and participate in the hunt, as well as offering tips to finding all 48 chests.  You can find that article here:  https://www.publish0x.com/lankyashaman/the-decentraland-treasure-hunt-dollar-100k-in-prizes-xxeegl

First I would like to start off by saying that the Treasure Hunt event was extended til the end of the day Tuesday, the 24 of February.  That gives you 24 hours to find all 48 chests, which is doable with the help that I detailed in my other post.  Also, the previous limit of 20 chests in 24 hours was lifted, so there is no longer a cooldown on opening chests.  You can fly through them quickly with no consequences.

Now, to my prizes, so that you can get an idea of what to expect from the hunt.

That last screenshot was my 48th chest, which is the grand prize chest.  Everyone that finishes the treasure hunt is guaranteed a grand prize chest.  This is actually one of the worse grand prizes, plenty of folks were pulling land, 10000 ANJ (Aragon Network Juror tokens), and epic rarity Decentraland wearable NFTs.  I'm not exactly disappointed.  I'm not going to complain about being handed like $100 for opening one chest.

In the end, I invested 100 MANA to create a name, which is also turned into a tradable NFT, and I left with 4250 MANA, 15 CryptoKitties, 1 Axie, 17 "swanky" rarity wearables, 2 "uncommon" rarity wearables, and a handful of Matic.  About $250 from a $5 investment, plus the time it took to find the chests...but that was fun...so I didn't mind.

It's not too late to jump into Decentraland.  I recommend checking it out regardless of the hunt, its a pretty interesting project.  If you feel like spending your Tuesday running around getting a free crypto bag, then you had better get started, you have 1 day left to get the grand prize.
