In the last post I wrote about lockdown and also about the ability to stay alone in order to develop some skill.
Covid19 brought me an amazing present: digital sculpting. I was already in art, especially in drawing. Discover digital sculpting has been a sort of revelation. I discovered a new need, the need to sculpt and model my favorite subjects and characters.
In my opinion, human beings needs to give substance to their fantasies. Now we have the tools and they are also superior to any of the previous one.
Sculpting also pushed me to come back to anatomy study. There is something in the study of forms, muscles, proportions and motion, the dynamic of the human body that enchants me. Figurative art has its language, but is not a conceptual one. When I sculpt, or draw, a new experience of the world became available. An experience that is not made of words. It's just a flow. I can easily sculpt or draw non-stop for 8, 10, 12 hours.
Now I'm focusing on characters in order to be able to print them in 3D. This activity is very time-consuming, and, as us all, I also have all the other normale stuff going on (working, studying...).
I do not want to abandon art at all, so I'm trying to sell my model around the internet, hoping that someone likes them.
So here It is my head of one of the most powerful jedi, Grand Master Yoda.
