Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a battle using a specific card and on this week's post it is the Mycelic Slipspawn card. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process.
Featured Monster: Spirit Hoarder

Spirit Hoarder is a neutral splinter card that costs 3 mana. It starts with triage, learns dispel at level 2 and blind at level 3. It's mainly a support card and it can be quite helpful in making sure that your backline survives. I use this card from time to time and it has some definite use as a support. If combined with a backline taunt monster, this card can heal it from the back of your lineup.
Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is silenced summoner and equalizer. This means that summoner effects aren't there and all monsters start with the same amount of HP. There is also 31 mana available and I am left every splinter except for life.

The summoner I choose to use this time is Drake of Arnak. In a match like this, I prefer dragon so I can use my card to its highest level and dragon gives me more cards to pick from.

My plan is just to have a thorns tank followed by a bunch of damage dealer and support abilities. All cards start with the same health so using low health monsters won't be a detriment. A flying monster is in the last spot to make some of the sneak monsters miss.
Round 1

At the first glance of my opponent's lineup, I think I have the stronger lineup due my support abilities. I have a higher level summoner and I have a bunch of different abilities to help me. The only worry is the double attacking ranged monster that my opponent has.
Round 2

I took out one mosnter and the damage is spread out everywhere. I haven't lost any card yet but I am able to focus my damage on my opponent's monsters. I still have the advantage.
Round 3

I took out two cards and the damage is still spread out. I still don't think there should be any issues but I fully expect to losing a few cards before the match ends.
Round 4

I took out the magic monster and now there is 5 cards versus 2 cards on my opponent. As most of my attacks focus on the front, I think I have this match won.

As I expected I won due to the double attacking ranged monster and it attacking different cards. It didn't focus down on my damage dealers and that contributed towards making sure my cards lived longer.
Conclusion
The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. The lineup I went for had increased my damage and the support abilities definitely helped. Using a dragon summoner was a good choice and I was able to expand my options due to it. The spirit hoarder was amazing and it did help my backline live longer. If my opponent had more luck, I think there would have been a chance that I would have lost the match due to the ranged double attacker he had.
You can see my entire match here.
What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.
