Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a battle using a specific card and on this week's post it is the Dax Paragon card. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process.

Featured Monster: Dax Paragon

Dax Paragon is a life splinter card that costs 2 mana. It starts with no ability, learns the amplify at level 2 and affliction at level 5. It's a low mana card and it can work quite well to fill up your line up. I do use it from time to time due to it's low mana cost and it can also attack from anywhere.

Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is up to elevensilenced summoner, and little league. This means that I can only use low mana cost monsters and I have to fight it out with my opponent. There is also 34 mana available and I am left with the choice of life, death and dragon splinter.

The summoner I choose to use this time is Drake of Arnak. In a match like this, using my highest-level monsters and anything that reflects damage will be quite useful.

My plan is just to have a lineup using a few tanky monsters up in front with thorns or reflect up front. Then I have my damage dealers afterwards. There is also a tank heal to make sure that my front-line lives longer.

Round 1

At the first glance of my opponent's lineup, I think I have this match won. I have two monsters that can use the amplify effect and my opponent doesn't have many fast speed monsters either. So I should be able to wipe out a few monsters per round.

Round 2

round 2.png

With my double sneak and thorns, I was able to wipe out my opponent's self-heal tank. I don't think I can lose due to the speed difference between me and my opponent.

Round 3

round 3.png

My double sneak monster is doing great job cleaning up my opponent and there is no chance for me to lose anymore. The tank heal will recover any damage that I do take.

Without any issues, I was able to finish off my opponent during the round and win the match.

Conclusion

The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. The lineup I went for had speed and took advantage of the amplify ability in the ruleset. My damage dealers were able to deal damage without much worries and my double sneak monster did amazing work by killing off most of my opponent's team.

My summoner did allow me to place the highest level monsters that I could. On my opponent's side, I don't know why he is using a level 1 summoner. His lineup doesn't seem that bad but I think the underleveled monsters limited his damage and speed of his own cards. We used a similar cost summoner so I think the card difference was too big for him to overcome.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.
