Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a rule set using a specific card and on this week's post it is a battle with the Fog of War rule set. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process.
Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is fog of war and earthquake. This means that all monsters sneak, snipe, or opportunity abilities. Any monsters that don't have the flying ability will take damage each turn. There is also 35 mana available and I am left with the choice of fire or death splinter.

The summoner I choose to use this time is Thaddius Brood. In a match like this, I think that removing death is one of my best choices for flying and -1 magic/health will help me. I can also play my cards to the highest level.

My plan is just to have a lineup using flying monsters. My first spot had a filler monster to take a hit and then the rest of my lineup was about living as long as possible. My largest damage dealer is Raa with double strike.
Round 1

At the first glance of my opponent's lineup, I think I have the advantage because my opponent doesn't have many flying monsters. The ranged monster could be an issue but I will be relying on Raa as my main damage.
Round 2

I was lucky and my Raa hit both attacks on the same monster. However, my front line isn't looking that great.
Round 3

I lost my main tank but I did deal some damage. The earthquake will start claiming the backline damage dealers on my opponent's side.
Round 4

Starting this turn, only the front-most monster can attack and my Riftwing will have plenty of health to delay my opponent. Unless I miss for a few rounds straight, I should have this match won.

Without missing too many attacks, I was able to win the match.
Conclusion
The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. The lineup I went for had a bunch of flying monsters and Raa dealt damage as the match went on. The earthquake helped me and my opponent couldn't do much with his monsters. Taking advantage of the ruleset definitely helped me and the fog of war meant that my backline would not get hit regardless. The weaken and -1 health from my summoner helped me kill off my opponent faster because that removed 2 health from my opponent. This made removing the non-flying monsters faster.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players play in a ruleset.
