Splinterlands is a pretty complicated game and there are some interesting battles with all the options available. This is a part of the weekly social media challenge for Splinterlands. This week the topic is a great battle that I had recently.
Featured card: Coastal Sentry

The card that I am focused on is Coastal Sentry. It's one of the Chaos legion cards and I only have mine at level 8. It has double strike to start. It learns piercing and knock out later when leveled up. This card can do a lot of damage if it can attack and that can be done through a ruleset or a monster/summoner giving this card the reach ability.
Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is Aim True and What Doesn't Kill You. This means that all monsters gain the enrage ability and no attacks will miss. There are 99 mana available and I am left with the choice of fire, earth, life, or dragon splinter.

I used Possibilus the Wise as my summoner so my monsters gain +2 health, trample and reach. My lineup starts off with Diemonshark to tank some hits. Then I have Coastal Sentry for the damage and my summoner lets it attack from the 2nd spot. Then I have quite a magic monsters (some of them gain magic after the weapons training ability) which has various different supportive abilities. This includes rust to reduce armor, inspire to increase melee damage, slow to reduce my enemies speed and swiftness to increase my speed.
Round 1

Looking at the difference between the lineup, I think I have the advantage due to the speed and damage advantage. As we can't miss, my damage should add up quite a bit and the trample should be able to deal some extra damage.
Round 2

I killed two of my opponent's monsters and my Coastal Sentry is still quite healthy.
Round 3

It looks like my opponent is down to 1 monster and all of my monsters are alive because of the resurrect ability. There is no way for my opponent to win given the ruleset and the speed difference.

I was able to win the match later that round.
Conclusion
The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. Combining Possibilius with Coastal Sentry increased my melee damage quite a bit. Adding in all the supportive abilities after that only made my lineup more deadly. Through this, I was able to overpower my opponent while taking minimal damage. Both speed and damage is quite important as I played according to the rulesets in this match.
