Splinterlands Season Earnings and Rental update

By jfang003 | jfang003 | 6 Oct 2022

It's been less than a week since the previous season ended and I thought I would go over my rewards as well as my plans going forward for fights. It's been tough to fight through for rewards lately and the payout for my efforts isn't exactly the best either as my average payout for my daily focus is about $0.1 each. I'll be getting out my posts about Splinterlands season rewards earlier next time but I have been busy.

Season Rewards

With 53 chests in Gold I, I didn't get anything that amazing. I did get 2 epic cards and many rare/common cards as part of my rewards. As usual, the potions, merits, and SPS are the usual pulls and I don't think any of them is very notable. The total comes out to $1.48. It's a bit disappointing but it's all luck based.

I like the Dhampir Infiltrator because of the double attack and managed to make mine level 3. Unfortunately, I want it to be level 4 before I use it more often due to increased damage. Overall, level 5 doesn't look that bad but my summoners would be the bottleneck.

Rentals

With my recent post on opening packs, I have gotten way more cards. So I made a few changes to my prices but not too many due to some issues with Peakmonsters. My updated rental prices are above.

Peakmonsters is annoying though as it doesn't let me know which card is under cooldown by myself though. It's not their fault as they listed it as an issue with a change in Splinterlands but I hope it does get fixed. So it's been harder to list cards. I did list a few and changed a few in prices so I should be able to get some more income over the season. It was already on a downwards trend and some of them were way too expensive.

One of the nice features is the price discovery tool as I can just click on the plus or minus of the median price to set the prices. My general preference is to just click the plus if the price is above 0.1 DEC because it's likely for my card to be rented out because some people go above that price.

The APR from renting isn't as high as I would like though. Of course, I still think it might be better to let a renting bot service take over but I still haven't made up my decision on that end yet.

Conclusion

Overall, I didn't get much luck on my season end but I did get enough cards to upgrade a few of my existing cards in my deck. Other than that, I spent some time going over Peakmonsters and checking out how the interface has changed. It's been a long time since I modified my rental prices so some of my harder to rent cards should be rented out more now.
