If you didn't know, the Splinterlands Chaos Legion general sale has now gone live and we can purchase packs for a cheaper price. This means that we no longer need VOUCHERs to buy packs and we can get them for the price of $4 each. If you want to learn more information on how to buy packs, you can read this post about the general sale. Even if you buy over the limit in packs, you get the choice to input how many VOUCHERs you wish to use to get the bonus packs.

Purchasing Packs

I have already bought 500 packs using the 2 million credits I purchased in a previous post. I did not buy VOUCHERs to go along with my packs but in hind sight, I should of just bought some off the market to get those extra packs.

So as you can see above, the current price of a VOUCHER is $2.68. This means any bonus pack I would of bought would of been worth $2.68. I was under the mistaken view that VOUCHERs should be worth less than a $1 but it should of been is a VOUCHER less than $4? If it is, it means you will get bonus packs for cheaper than the normal price. In hindsight, I should of just bought the 75 VOUCHERs to claim the bonus packs.

For reference, when you buy in bulk, the above message shows up so you can input the amount of VOUCHERs you want to use. You should put in the maximum if you are buying the packs because the bonus packs cost about 2/3rds of the price of a normal pack.

Pack Openings and my first GFL

I have opened 58 packs already and the remaining 442 packs are sitting in my inventory. I specifically opened as many packs as my free potions from quests and season rewards allowed me to get the most out of my packs. Those potions that most people consider worthless are definitely useful if you ever decide to open up packs as they double the chance you will get legendary or gold foil cards.

Here is the GFL card that I got when opening up 58 packs. I don't know what the odds are of getting them but this is the first GFL that I have ever pulled. My luck with Untamed packs wasn't as good even though I opened up over 400 of them without a single GFL but Chaos Legion is treating me better already.

It's a water legendary card with some fairly good abilities. Yesterday when I opened packs, it was worth over $200 but it looks like the price has dropped since then. It probably has to deal with all the people buying packs and increasing the supply of the cards.

Overall I think the new cards I got are a going to help me in ranked battles. I have some epic cards and legendary cards that are always useful. At the same time, some of the gold foil common cards I got are strong enough for me to use in Silver/Gold rank. My options for building a deck has already grown bigger.

Conclusion

I messed up when purchasing packs and missed out on 75 bonus packs. In hindsight, these packs were far cheaper compared to the $4 listing price and I should of bought them. I opened up what I could with my free potions and I got my first GFL card.

Did you participate in the Chaos Legion General Sale? If so, are you satisfied with what you got?
