American Night

I look out at the
American Night
and try to find
some sort of answer

I have no idea
what the question
is though

I’m naked
and it’s 3 AM
on the East Coast

I could stare
at the American Night
until the sun decides
to come up and
kill it but that
wouldn’t solve
anything

I scratch myself
and I think for
that’s the only
thing I can do
