On today's "Internet Gold" post, I want to continue with the theme of my last post: Automotive repairs; but this time, we come at it from an entirely different angle:
The best DIY videos you will ever see: ChrisFix's YouTube channel.
I will try to make this topic interesting and informative -- even if you're not at all into cars.
Let's begin
Have you seen DIY videos before? They usually consist of dry information combined with shaky camera work, bad lighting and worse sound quality. Possibly with some loud background noises sprinkled into the mix for good measure.
Who enjoys watching that?
-- Nobody!
You suffer through the videos to get the information you need and never return to them -- unless you need that information so badly again that you suffer through them once again.
I guess we've all had this experience.
But that's not the way it has to be
Have you seen ChrisFix's DIY videos? He goes out of his way to make them as entertaining to watch and as interesting as humanly possible without sacrificing the quality of his information in the slightest bit.
How does he do that?
He spends a ridiculous amount of time on preparing and editing his videos. For instance, he even makes his own labels for generic products that he uses in his videos. That is an unparalleled attention to detail and an admirable dedication to deliver the best possible end result.
The video which I want to highlight...
Well, that is a really tough decision: Almost all his videos are excellent and he has so many.
I ended up with a tutorial on how to fix a vandalized car -- because nowadays, it seems to be one of the topics with the highest relevancy for car owners in cities...
Actually, just two days ago, 150 cars were marked with spray paint in the city that I live in -- and an anonymous group threatens to torch them and burn them to the ground if a forest nearby is replaced by a highway... Fun times we are living in, right? 🙈
Here is one real-life example from two days ago.

What would you do if that was your car?
-- You would watch a ChrisFix video on how to remove spray paint off your car, of course. Here you go:
And while you're at it
why not try to improve how the paint of your car looks? ChrisFix has a video on that topic as well.
So, I encourage you: Do try this at home!
Yes, today's post ends with the exact opposite recommendation that my previous post concluded with.
I can recommend ChrisFix's videos to anyone who wants to learn about car maintenance or repairs. I have absolutely no reservations.
What do you think?
About ChrisFix? About vandalism? About riots? Are we sitting on top of a barrel of gun powder right now? Let me know in the comments.
The next installment of the popular "Internet Gold" series will feature once again "the best music videos -- in the world". (Think of Jeremy Clarks while reading the last part of that sentence).
And here it is -- for now it is exclusive on read.cash, but in a few days, I will move the article to Publish0x.
Stay tuned! And stay safe!
