The choice of a good validator is crucial for all Cosmos users, as the risk of slashing is always just around the corner, and it happens not infrequently that the funds of delgators are cut off due to misbehavior on the part of those who are keeping the network up. There are many reliable validators on PoS blockchains implemented with Cosmos SDK technology, but the one I am about to tell you about is particularly noteworthy for its commitment to the community.
In a previous article, I delved into the workings of Cosmos and the IBC protocol. In the Cosmos ecosystem, we are fortunate to find several validators who do their job very well, communicate punctually with the community and actively participate in the governance of the network.
SmartNodes, on the other hand, does much more than that. The SmartNodes family is present in the major networks of the Cosmos ecosystem, providing its members with a reference point for staking. On SmartNodes’ Medium channel, users have the opportunity to learn more about numerous blockchain-related topics through clear and comprehensive articles. The Discord server and Telegram channel are a haven for all members of the community who need assistance, as well as being virtual places to meet and talk about crypto.
But there’s more. As some of you already know, delegating your funds to SmartNodes will allow you to participate in the weekly lotto raffle and win a lots of tokens up for grabs! The staking amount to obtain a ticket varies depending on the chain, as do the rewards. In the first quarter of 2023, the launch of the Decentralised Autonomous Organisation connected to the project is planned, accompanied by the SmartNodes token, which will be distributed in airdrop to those who have delegated their tokens to this validator on the various Cosmos networks (the criteria for the distribution have not been announced yet).
