There’s good news for the Cosmonauts. From January 17 it is in fact possible to claim part of the airdrop promoted by Stargaze, one of the very first NFT marketplaces to be implemented on the Cosmos network. Stargaze aims to be a fully decentralized market, totally governed by its users. That’s why, to ensure fair distribution of its token, the team decided to promote an Osmosis-style airdrop.

The token issuance rate will be reduced by 1/3 every year, to avoid excessive token inflation. The initial STARS supply is 1 billion and is divided as you can see in the image below.

AIRDROP DISTRIBUTION

With the aim of intercepting the most active users in the Cosmos network, the beneficiaries of the airdrop have been identified in these categories:

• ATOM stakers (minimum 5 ATOMs);
• OSMO stakers or liquidity providers (minimum 50 OSMO);
• Stargaze validator stakers on Cosmos Hub;
• Stargaze validator stakers on Osmosis;
• Stargaze validator stakers on Regen Network.

The snapshot was taken on 11 October and, for each category, each user will receive 2435 STARS. If, for example, you are ATOM and OSMO stakers, you will be entitled to 4906. From January 17 it is possible to make a claim of 60% of the total amount received in the airdrop by carrying out three actions: First claim (20%), stake the STARS (20%), vote on a governance proposal (20%). The remaining 40% will be available at the launch of the NFT Marketplace, which should in any case take place in the first quarter of this year. The amount of the airdrop, if not collected in time, will begin to progressively decrease starting from the fourth month after the NFT marketplace is released until it reaches 0. Unclaimed tokens will be added to the Community Pool.

HOW TO CLAIM

The procedure for making the airdrop claim is very similar to that already seen for Osmosis. First, check if you are eligible by entering your Cosmos, Osmosis or Regen address here: www.stargaze.zone/airdrop.

Once this is done, go to the app dedicated to the airdrop app.stargaze.zone/airdrop and connect the Keplr or Ledger wallet eligible for the claim. Transactions on the Stargaze network currently have no fees, so take advantage of it! Once logged in:

• Make the initial claim to complete Mission #1 by simply clicking on “Claim” and approving the transaction;
• Vote on a governance proposal for Mission #3 by clicking on Vote. You will be redirected to stake.stargaze.zone/proposals, where you can vote (approving a transaction) on the only proposal currently open;

• Once we have collected 40% of the airdrop, we stake some STARS to complete Mission #2. I deliberately anticipated #3 in order to have more STARS to stake, but you can safely follow the canonical order of the missions. Also for the stake we will be redirected to stake.stargaze.zone/stake, choose a validator from the active ones, click on DELEGATE and decide the amount of STARS to deposit. Consider that the APR for staking is now 111%!

• Wait for the launch of the NFT marketplace to complete Missions #4 and #5 and collect 100% of the airdrop.

In addition to staking, to make your STARS work you could also consider putting them in LP on Osmosis in the two available pools: STARS/OSMO and STARS/ATOM. APR is much more consistent than staking, but always beware of impermanent loss!

REWARD DISTRIBUTION

Initially, the rewards per block will be distributed as follows: 45% will incentivize staking on NFTs (the mechanism will be announced later); 35% will go to the almost 100 validators that are currently present on the network to ensure stability and security (and to respective delegators net of the commission applied by the single validators); 15% will go to finance the team who develop Stargaze; the remaining 5% will go to the Community Pool.

Considering the hype that has been created around the world of NFTs, Stargaze is a project to keep an eye on. To date, the token is priced at around $ 0.40, we will see in the coming days if the beneficiaries of the airdrop will sell or capitalize on the STARS received. If we look at the example of OSMO, after an initial dump probably due precisely to those who sold the tokens received in the airdrop, in a medium-term perspective it could be absolutely worthwhile to make the holder in us prevail, but do your research and evaluate the best strategy for you.

Dal 17 gennaio è infatti possibile effettuare il claim di parte dell’airdrop promosso da Stargaze, tra i primissimi NFT marketplace ad essere implementati su rete Cosmos. Stargaze punta ad essere un mercato pienamente decentralizzato, governato totalmente dai suoi utenti. Ecco perché, per garantire una distribuzione equa del suo token, il team ha deciso di promuovere un airdrop in stile Osmosis.

Il tasso di emissione del token verrà ridotto di 1/3 ogni anno, per evitare un eccessiva inflazione del token. La supply iniziale è di 1 miliardo ed è suddivisa come vedete nell’immagine di seguito.

DISTRIBUZIONE DELL’AIRDROP

Con l’obiettivo di intercettare gli utenti più attivi nella rete Cosmos, i beneficiari dell’airdrop sono stati individuati in queste categorie:

• ATOM stakers (minimo 5 ATOM);
• OSMO stakers o fornitori di liquidità (minimo 50 OSMO);
• Stargaze validator stakers su Cosmos Hub;
• Stargaze validator stakers su Osmosis;
• Stargaze validator stakers su Regen Network.

Lo snapshot è stato effettuato l’11 ottobre scorso e, per ogni categoria, ogni utente riceverà 2435 STARS. Se, ad esempio, siete stakers di ATOM e OSMO, avrete diritto 4906. Dal 17 gennaio è possibile effettuare il claim del 60% dell’importo totale ricevuto in airdrop effettuando tre azioni: Primo claim (20%), mettere in stake gli STARS (20%), votare una proposta di governance (20%). Il restante 40% sarà disponibile al lancio del Marketplace di NFT, che dovrebbe avvenire comunque nel primo quadrimestre di quest’anno. L’importo dell’airdrop, se non riscosso in tempo, inizierà a diminuire progressivamente a partire dal quarto mese dall’uscita del marketplace NFT fino ad arrivare a 0. I token non riscossi verranno aggiunti alla Community Pool.

COME EFFETTUARE IL CLAIM

Il procedimento per effettuare il claim dell’airdrop è molto simile a quello già visto per Osmosis. Innanzitutto, verificate se siete eleggibili inserendo il vostro address Cosmos, Osmosis o Regen qui: www.stargaze.zone/airdrop. 

Fatto questo, passate sull’app dedicata all’airdrop app.stargaze.zone/airdrop e collegate il wallet Keplr o Ledger eleggibile per il claim. Attualmente le transazioni sulla rete Stargaze non hanno fee, quindi conviene approfittarne! Una volta loggati:

• Effettuate il claim iniziale per completare la Mission #1 semplicemente cliccando su claim e approvando la transazione;
• Votate su una proposta di governance per la Mission #3 cliccando su Vote. Verrete reindirizzati su stake.stargaze.zone/proposals, dove portrete votare (sempre approvando una transazione) sull’unica proposta attualmente aperta;

• Una volta riscosso il 40% dell’airdrop, mettiamo in stake un po’ di STARS per completare la Mission #2. Ho volutamente anticipato la #3 per poter avere più STARS da mettere in stake, ma potete tranquillamente seguire l’ordine canonico delle mission. Anche per lo stake saremo rindirizzati su stake.stargaze.zone/stake, scegliamo un validatore tra quelli attivi, clicchiamo su DELEGATE e decidiamo l’ammontare di STARS da depositare. Considerate che ad ora l’APR per lo staking è pari al 111%!

• Aspettate il lancio del marketplace NFT per completare le Mission #4 e #5 e riscuotere il 100% dell’airdrop.

Oltre allo staking, per far rendere i vostri STARS potreste valutare anche di metterli in LP su Osmosis nelle due pool disponibili: STARS/OSMO e STARS/ATOM. L’APR è molto più consistente rispetto allo staking, ma state sempre attenti all’impermanent loss!

DISTRIBUZIONE DELLE REWARDS

Inizialmente le ricompense per blocco saranno così distribuite: Il 45% andrà ad incentivare lo staking sugli NFT (il meccanismo sarà reso noto più avanti; il 35% andrà ai quasi 100 validatori che attualmente sono presenti sulla rete per garantirne stabilità e sicurezza (e ai rispettivi delegators al netto della commissione applicata dal singolo validators); il 15% andrà a finanziare il team di sviluppatori che sviluppano Stargaze; il 5% restante andrà alla Community Pool.

Considerando l’hype che si è creato intorno al mondo degli NFT, Stargaze è un progetto assolutamente da tenere d’occhio. Ad oggi il token è quotato intorno ai $0,40, vedremo nei prossimi giorni se i beneficiari dell’airdrop venderanno o metteranno a frutto gli STARS ricevuti. Se guardiamo all’esempio di OSMO, dopo un dump iniziale probabilmente dovuto proprio a coloro che hanno venduto i token ricevuti in airdrop, in una prospettiva di medio termine potrebbe valere assolutamente la pena far prevalere l’holder che c’è in noi, ma fate le vostre ricerche e valutate la strategia migliore per voi.
