Comprehending complex and exotic "scientific stuff" begins with a deep understanding and appreciation of the simple things in life (e.g., these two perfectly shaped, mouthwatering mellons).

Think of it.

Newton got bored at church and fixated on the swaying of a chandelier. End result?

"Isaac Newton's foray into the pendulous laws of motion".

It also led him to deduce that the Earth is not a perfect sphere - slightly flattened at the poles and bulging around the equator (a "prolate ellipsoid")!
