Domingo "Ding" Chavez is a character that appears in several Tom Clancy novels.

Clear and Present Danger is a 1994 American action thriller film directed by Phillip Noyce and based on Tom Clancy's 1989 novel of the same name.

CIA analyst Jack Ryan learns that Hardin was laundering money for the South American Cali Cartel. U.S. President Bennett discreetly authorizes National Security Advisor James Cutter to initiate a covert team, including John Clark and Ding Chavez, in Colombia to destroy the cartel.
