After ruling the British Empire for 63 years, Queen Victoria's death was mourned around the world and signaled the end of the Victorian Era.  

In the image above, her coffin is laid to raid at Windsor chapel, after being transported from the Isle of Wight where she passed away and passed streets lined with people paying their respects to their Queen.
