In life's opulent, complex design,
We circle 'round the sun,
Lessons cloaked in happenstance,
Until the learning's done, or it's the end of the ride.
The same scene takes the stage, coming back for you.
In varied, shifting hues.
Each act a chance to start again,
To leap from fear of flight.
Drowning out failures,
And the reluctance that tacks itself on
For every trial we face,
Is but a mirror.
What face do you see?
There lies a hidden key to unlock doors in our souls,
First you have to kneel before you get to rise.
And set your spirits free.
So when the lesson comes again,
In guise of friend or foe,
Meet it with a wiser heart,
Know that the problems that you solve only go.
And let the wrong choices you made,
no longer be the seed you have to sow.
With every step, the path unfolds,
In ways we can't foresee,
It's in the journey, not the end,
We find who we're meant to be.
