Gridcoin is a cryptocurrency that helps research. I've already made a post about it here, so I won't say that a second time.

Hardware requirements

• A PC with admin rights (it should run on a linux or mac)
• an internet access

And the tutorial begins... NOW

step 1 - Install BOINC software on your computer

Download it here and install it (you'll need for admin rights for only that).

step 2 - Create a grcpool account

Just register on grcpool.com.

step 3 - Link BOINC client with grcpool

First, switch to advanced view

And then add grcpool as project manager (but I won't do it here because we can only add 1 project manager).

step 4 - Assign projects to your computer

Go to grcpool>hosts>[your_computer] and add projects to your computer (rosetta@home for fighting coronavirus).

step 5 - Synchronize your client

Just go to "tools>sync with grcpool.com" and let it synchronize

step 6 - Let it run

Just let it run. You can close BOINC window. It'll stay in the system tray.

Gridcoin wallet

Mining is good, but it's better when you can withdraw mined coins.

For that, I recommend using coinomi (SPV) or Gridcoin Core (full node).
