Ok, another week passed and now it's time for the first report - as I didn't count the initial post as a report, or rather as a report 0. Base investment - BTC and ETH - and current portfolio value
As it was in previous weeks BTC and ETH seem to be performing best, considering they are still above 34% of the portfolio each. Now they both raised since last week, so it seems it may not be the perfect time to buy but their price (especially this of Bitcoin) - being somewhat above 29200€ and 1800€ respectively is still relatively low to their previous ATH value, which for both will be outperformed in this cycle. At least that's what I believe is going to happen. But even if that wasn't the case I would buy them for 10€ each as this is the very idea of DCA. In the worst-case waiting to next cycle finish until I will have some decent profits
Thanks to this recent grow my loss has decreased, but I'm still not on a positive balance - but now it's just about 2,5€ (I don't know why the contracting is showing 0,5€... perhaps it didn't count the trading fee as additional and I should include the value of "trading fee" in "sell" box?). On the altcoins, I lose from a few percent to almost 20%. This highest loss is on Link, which is now worth just 8.06€. That doesn't scare me as it's not that strange in the current market condition.
The new Altcoin Solana(SOL)
Today I didn't pick up any of the already bought altcoins - even though most are lower than when I bought them - but I go to another coin, making the number of altcoins in my DCA project portfolio equal to 4. It will be greater. After all, I still bought no DOT or MATIC for example, which also is one of the coins I almost certainly will add to it at some point. I also thought about the CEL, which is the native coin of Celsius, another crypto platform I use, and it was even told to be the next BNB (You can read more about this brave statement here, it seems to be not that strongly proved though) - but I actually prefer Swissborg, which is way more convenient for a small trader like me (well Celsius IS tuned more for a big institution after all... but still You can get there a decent BTC bonus with my referral link or just my referral code: 195782fa4b; the bonus is 40$ and to claim it You have to deposit at least 400$ in BTC. And it's not random like in the SwissBorg case... actually initially I make an account on Celsius just to get this bonus from some of my BTC, which BTW also get interests there - with APY declared to be even 6,2%). It is also the reason why I consider also buying some CHSB (the native coin of SwissBorg), which can give greater interests and other benefits on the exchange... but for that, I would have to stake 2000 of it which is now equal to abut 1000€ - which for now is way too much for me.
But for some time I'm hearing good opinions about Solana. I also read an interesting article about it may be an Ethereum killer. I'm not sure about such brave assumptions(I don't think it will be so easy to kill ETH, it isn't one of the 2 base coins of this experiment without reason!), but nevertheless, this article shows some really strong points of Solana, like the rather unique "proof of history" protocol for consensus. It promises to solve the blockchain trilema, which means to maximize scalability, security and decentralization. That seems quite a solid concept, and Solana's blockchain also has a lot of project running on it. You can read more about the coin in the mentioned "wormhole" (which is kind of a bridge between Solana and Ethereum networks) seems to be already working, and support for Terra is going to be added too.
Will it really solve the famous trilemma and overthrow Ethereum? I don't know, but I think it's a rather good decision to add this for diversification... and just in case it really be the Ethereum killer is better to have some of that coins too. Actually despite the price being few euro higher that when the mentioned article was written I bought SOL for 50€ - but of course only 10€ was registered for that project, according to its principles - which give me 2.11 of that coin.
Other thoughts - rather offtopic
As I said I sometimes will give some other thoughts - considering crypto my other blogs etc., which are too small for separate posts. Though now those are rather questions.
I recently started questioning the blog structure I made. I mean division my posts into "Free Crypto tips and tricks", "Whispers of Digital Sea" and "Great DCA experiment" may not be such a good idea considering the limit of 3 blogs per user... I mean when I would want to make more posts on some other topic then I would have to fit into one of them and as much as Whispers of Digital Sea are by the idea very general and literally, everything could fit there I'm not sure if with such small amount of blogs there should be such narrow ones like Great DCA experiment, which is mainly for those reports...
I thought about it also because I was wondering about making posts with some of my thoughts (which will be from I believe quite unique perspective - as I rarely meet likeminded people) about culture (mostly pop-culture actually but also its general impact, some may be theories about in-universe's lore etc. - as I once said I love doing such things) or maybe also my works (I would start with general, and then let You decide in which of my universe You would be most interested - most of them are based on MLP or Code Lyoko, but sometimes use also other universes, like for example Miraculous or Star Wars (from some time I have thoughts about the alternative ending of the Clone Wars when the Sidious' scheme is shattered... it was quite close to that after all!)) or even... game-moding ideas (including board games... I can get really crazy about modding Terraforming Mars... this game is just so perfect for that!).
And even though I will not have much time for that now (a few quite urgent things to do in the following weeks to do) but later... well I would be quite eager to expand the themes of my posts to some of that! But I would like to hear if You will even be interested in it at all. I like to read Your answers in the comments!
