If you prefer listening you can watch the video here, but I think that this is the first time in a long time I actually felt hopeful for the crypto world.
This week was the first time I noticed the only coins in the top 20 ranking who broke their year to date ATH were either DEXes, decentralized platforms or privacy coins. All the others including even Bitcoin are still swinging back and forth, struggling to break their 2026 ATH.
The coins in questions were Monero, Uniswap, Hyperliquid, ZCash and Rain. From all these coins Monero is the only one who this week didn't actually set a new ATHs and only made a (still impressive) recovery, but that's only because Monero already broke its historic ATH a few months ago in Q1 2026:

Now why is this good? Because this is what it was always intended to be. Bitcoin is close to perfect but as time went on, not necessarily replacements but useful addendums are very much a welcomed development. Improving privacy on the blockchain and increasing decentralization are those addendums.

So you can pat yourself on the back if you are involved and kept believing in these type of coins. Be proud you still believed and didn't let your judgement get clouded by the NFT, rug pull pump.fun or memecoin craze that was hijacking crypto headlines these past years.👍
