Alright, let's get into the specifics. The last time we were at this price-fork in the road was in June 2021 with BTC at about 35K. What prompted people to speculate like that back then was the seemingly never ending drop from Bitcoin's ATH from about 64K, which then dumped for about two whole months all the way down to -50%. It actually recovered and broke new ATHs in November that same year, only to crash all the way to the 16K range exactly one year later in November 2022 where it bottomed out and made it's slow but steady recovery to where we are today. This recovery and steady upwards trend, along with the troubles in the banking world is why some are predicting a 100K Bitcoin in the near future.

Now on to the potential horrors that lie ahead: Multiples OG whales dumping at the same time. Or as some speculate, dark web devs targeting and now "finally" able to access these whale wallets. At least three massive whale wallets from bitcoin’s early days have seen unprecedented signs of activity in the past few weeks. One such wallet, which was last active in 2012, moved more than 400 bitcoins ($11 million) over the weekend...Another whale wallet moved 279 bitcoins earlier in April after over 10 years of inactivity....Ether holders are moving their tokens too. Last week, a participant in the ether initial coin offering moved 1 ether to another wallet after eight years of inactivity. The wallet holds more than 2,356 ether purchased at 31 cents apiece in the ICO...speculation on Crypto Twitter, with possible reasons ranging from developers of the dark web site Silk Road getting access to the whales' wallets to insiders in the know moving tokens ahead of bad news. Some have speculated that the holders' wallet passwords have been cracked."

A collective dump by these wallets, which seems unlikely btw, would in itself not send Bitcoin to 10K. But a possible generator exploit which would potentially compromise countless of wallets however, could.

But, let's not make ourselves paranoid with all sorts of doomsday scenarios.
