Crypto people of earth, we love you. Stay tuned to the emanations of the progressive Publish0x as humanity steps up & above to be freer from fiat.
Resist!!!
or not, but thanks for being here to push back the boundaries of crypto on the Financial Times!! and then it's miller time...
Thursday in the FT. Let's use the word catafalque, and watch Foot Guards wearing bearskins. THAT speaks of barbarity.
Twitter's whistle tooter security monkey failed, even as predicted!
Tradfi corruption watch: Google loses EU four billion dollar fine appeal on anti-trust laws. Tell Gary, we think that the Android operating system is a SECURITY!!!! Korea fines Google and Facebook 100mm or so as well.
Another prediction hit: Byju's Indian tutorial company lost almost a billion last year!!
Here's a great article pushing the Netflix film of the mighty Danny McCriminal, newspaper antihero, a man rising in his times against the world and triumphing. Give it up!!!
TLDR - journalist alerts regulators, regulators nearly take out journalist. The UK regs, the FCA, approved all and did nothing, not even protecting Dan McCrum. Really, still, twenty five thank yous to the pink lady and all journalism for this story, it's stellar. We have no idea if the film is any good at all.
Yesterdays story about hedge funds "crowded trade" betting frenzy on ETH makes dead trees, we stand by our happiness.
A shorter version of catching up with D'Oh hits the trees, with a new pic!!
Just not as funny as the longer article, trust us.
The Mooch's article makes print, no pic at all. We stand above our review, it's still funny - Mooch first says he won't discuss details, then he blabs 85% three year option 40mm must be held in crypto and the big guy Mooch still gets to hold 15% no matter what. TMI mooch TMI we don't care.
Jem's pumps out another hit in our book
We tried to listen to the latest crypto strawman battle but failed, waiting for a transcript, think she said Tech Tonic 5 might be the last one. Aww, man, we'll miss it !!
that's it for print! C'mon ONLINE!!
YES! It's so nice to read NICE crypto in the FT!!
TLDR: mild rehash plus Vitalek says it is done. Lars from Concordium says it does not solve a heck of a lot of issues.
The REAL story: we are so crabby we disagree with the author - "The Merge refers to the moment when the existing ETH network linked with a new network." To us, the merge happens as ( or as not) all the validators switch over, one by many. For ONCE the FT says 99.95, thanks for small joys!! Why do we have to listen to Lars, who runs ETH competition chitcoin Concordium here:
Just hush about ETH's problems, Lars dude.
Here's another online yay!!
TLDR: Here comes the nastygram!!
Netscape MADE Web1. Is this really a historic moment? Five q's - ETH still has low transactions per second. Even sharding won't match VISA.
2 - It's risky to move a 200bn market
3- Polygon and Optimism ( who?) rollups will 100x smash VISA tps, but they might become intermediaries.
4- give up your ideals, crypto, big stakers might be vulnerable to political pressure to block and sanction.
5 - Web3's biggest challenge is why is this technology needed in the first place:
The REAL story: ok, they gave us a nice story so they could THEN serve up this carefully cooked anti-crypto agitprop brainstormed list of talking down points.
The individual points are farcical - We know we need sharding and rollups. If intermediaries are a problem we will worry about it then. By the time we read #5, we no longer care about Dick's thoughts.
Zoom out for the hypocrisy - first 200 billion is a risky thing to touch. Next there is no reason for the tech !!! WHAT a whipsaw!! is it 200 billion, or not??
We spent time trying to think - what IS web3? really??? Some people say Binance and Coinbase etc. are Web3 companies. Dunno about that, but it IS clear that ETH 2.0, now just ETH again, IS web3. Tornado cash is now running on PoS validators, whatever you want to say about it, T-cash IS Web3. ETH IS Web3.0. ! SAY IT!!! Permissionless 24 7 !!!
Sorry to ruin our happy streak, but we have to fire a FU for the whipsaw, a half FU for the facism, and a full counter FU for the no need for Web3, that's a hearty 2.5 FU's for this underpowered but nasty to the heart attack schtick. Judges say only 2 FU's because we finally had a cheery, calming crypto pic.
That's all for today, girls and boys, y'all mind yourselves, safe home!!
Peace,
Love
Dave
