Crypto people, we love you!! So good to be with y'all for these wild west times here at the Publish0x Saloon!!
What a time to be crypto watching!! Dear readers know Sammy was getting overexposed, then fading to black n white, then (now) just burnt to a crisp!!! FTX is dead, long live BNB!! Sammy was a prince, a king, JP Morgan a hundred years ago, now he's a bum!!
It's just as well, he was sounding like Celsius more and more!!! We knew Sammy was going down when we heard Nexo pulled a fifty million dollar investment back from FTX!!
Wahoo.... Sammy REALLY looks like chit after joking about maybe CZ could not legally come to Wash DC!!
Oh man. Crypto in the FT today! NOT a SINGLE DROP in print!! Boy howdy, does the FT NOT have their finger on the pulse! Well they do, but it's the propaganda pulse, NOT the CRYPTO pulse!!
Online? Yeah if it crypto bleeds, it crypto leads!!
First, a day ago Alphaville attacked. Their senses were correct!! Note, dear readers, the FT's search algo is so lame, we missed this one. Ya have to search for cryptocurrencies. Then THAT might not work, ya have to try crypto. That might not work either, try cryptos, or cryptofinance. Any three out of the four might miss the last one, lame lame lame!!
Here's the Alphaville attack.
from a day and a half ago. Those photo mash-ups make us enter the valley of revulsion!! Alphaville gets in some SERIOUS digs, gotta hand it to em, suddenly when it is time to find the hate they can DIG!!!
Two actual bits of weirdness - one, Alphaville is busy reading Mastodon cuz they hate Elon so!!! Heh!! two, alphaville does point us off to the excellent Dirty Bubble Media. Somewhere in that chain, NOT in the FT, we get:
which about sums it up!!
In TODAY's FT Alphaville attack erm, post mortem on Sammy ( you heard it here FIRST, OVER exposed, to the point where we need a geiger counter to check on Sammy!!
TLDR: Pretty good reporting. The FT goes to the Block to see that FTX quit honoring refund requests at 6:37 in the AM!!
Watching closely enough when its BAD crypto news, huh ya vultures!!??!
TLDR: who the hell checks to see who liked what tweet?? NOT in the FT: CZ liked THIS tweet as well, not sure what that means:
Back in the main FT, yeaaahhh boy plenty of time to print crypto when it's down! THATs all hands on deck!!
TLDR: Some juicy details / rehashs!! SBF was worth 24 billion a few months ago. FTX was valued at 32 billion at the start of the year, with blue chip investors like BlackRock!! Sammy LOANED a quarter billion to BlockFI in JUNE!!! Half a billion for Voyager!! Hit the waterloo when Sammy started BSing about buying Robinhood. @#@!#((*& he BSed about buying Goldman!! In 2021 FTX renamed the Miami Heat's stadium to be FTX Arena!! Ohhh that's horrible, we missed that one, that's a market top sign if ever there was one.
Sammy looks like a total monkey in the flamewars with CZ. We reckon those were NOT false rumors after all, huh Sammy??
It's the law of the wild wild west, there is always a faster gunslinger coming!! And the FT is THERE to write all about it. Rightfully so!! Oh that's gonna leave a mark. NOT in the FT:
TLDR: Ya just can't make enough bad jokes at a time like this. ALso NOT in the FT:
Well, OK maybe, just maybe, we CAN make enough bad jokes, baby!!
All the news fades compared to the above. Before this global eff up happened, the FT went to pixels on YET ANOTHER version of the same #$(#(#$&#@(* about oh yeah, Hong Kong killed the crypto & regular markets there, but now they sort of would like them back maybe:
TLDR: We want to lob FU's but have we already done so for the same story thrice???
Looking HARD for funnies in THIS version of the story we do find a couple. One is that HK and Sing held competing crypto conferences on the same week, THAT's hostile!! Despite Sing's MAS saying they do not WANT to be the hub for retail investors.
Secondly, THIS quote aged like spilled milk into HILARITY!!!
TLDR: Yes, Sammy, it's absolutely too late for that. WAAAAAAYYYYYY too late. Awesome proof that Sammy was talking WAY too much!!!
Finally,
TLDR: back to biz as usual, find some neggy crypto news ( out of the SEA of positive crypto news) and then print a one sided version of it!!! FU FT and BaFin. Here we see the death to crypto inshallah FT SO GLAD that BaFin bashed a CRYPTO player!!! So glad they forgot to mention the FT's own Danny McCrim !! When the german giant Wirecard started to go south, the BaFin reg hammerers promptly got to work - and threatened the journalists at the FT working to expose the corruption!!
No mention of that HERE. Just like SOMEHOW, the FT never managed to mention that Coinbase was APPROVED in Germany!! Anti-crypto narrative priorities, we guess. Only on BAD crypto news does the FT let us readers know about it ar ar ar ar ar aroooo)00000OOOOOO ya hypercritical ($#&#$(*&$#!!!
True to form, the FT hyperventilates: This is the latest blow to Coinbase!! well, blow is an operative word in a comment we won't make here.
The REAL story: a non story!! Coinbase has already laid out a plan to do whatever for whatever BaFin, in their infinite wisdom, wants, now AFTER Coinbase was the first exchange approved in Germany to provide custody and prop trading services.
And THAT's the story that should have made headlines some time ago. Instead the FT waits to find an imaginary zit in the process, after never reporting the TRIUMPH of the process!! Have yet another bag of FU's to chew on FT!!
Coinbase got the license back in June, this is the first time the ($&#$(*&#. FT mentions it!!!
Again in classic FT style, the FT makes an imaginary connection between what BaFIn asked Coinbase to do, and why the UK was supposedly not happy with Binance!! $($&#$(&!ers. On paper, the UK rejected Binance because Binance does not have a single HQ ( why? ) In reality, the UK's FCA rejected EVERY crypto player, including their OWN Lord Hammond at Copper!! And their own industry crying out for mutual coins, AND their OWN PM asking for crypto in the UK!! Get out of here with that weak #$(#@$&*!!!
Instead, the FT includes some gobbledy gook hinting that Coinbase has the same problem as Binance. Now that we read the same story on CoinTelegraph and coindesk, links below, it's PRETTY DAMN CLEAR that Bafin is just asking for better consolidated risk management. Not in the FT:
it's quite clear. Especially since Coinbase has already AGREED!!!
It's hard to say, it would be kinder to say the FT was just stupid!! They read the BaFin orders Coinbase to tighten up on that organization, and thought it was the same problem as Binance supposedly imaginarily faced with the FCA!!!
But no way. That was yet another bit of 100% pure crypto hate!! Masterful, vicious spin brought to you by the crypto hating FT. It's a risk man issue. All the other news oulets used the phrase "Bafin orders", only the FT said "censures." This is not a censure, FT, & ya #$(*&!! well know it. But thanks for the cheap slur plus the backwards twist to tie Coinbase to the imaginary problem only the FCA ( in the whole world) said that Binance has. We see you!!!
OK, we love you cryptonauts, sorry to rant on, but we do it with love for crypto!! And for y'all! Sleep well, talk soon
Love
Dave
