Today's tradfi corruption funnies!! Here's a great one!! TLDR: everyone in the UK read by candlelight to conserve power last winter during peaks.  At the same time, power companies would shut down plants!! Wait for demand to reach crisis, and then turn them back on at crazy rates!!  OK, Justin Sun might do that if he could figure out HOW, but he CAN"T!! That's TRADFI abuse!! 

Oh yea, is Binance facing a knockout blow for not doing AML?? Well, not how it works in the tradfi world: 

TLDR: these clowns allowed a brand new customer to spend over 20K in 20 minutes with ZERO checks!! etc. etc.  Are they out of biz?? nah, just a fine totalling 5% of expected earnings ah HA HA HA HA HA!! 

What else?  we hate to argue TOO much with Martin Wolf but @#(U@#*(&! IT!!

TLDR: It's funny, Martin pivots from saying it wasn't TOTALLY the fault of the central banks, to saying they were not TOTALLY evil puppets ar ar ar !! Dear readers know what THAT means!!

Before we hit the online hatchet jobs, let's stick with punk pop reading music for comic relief!!

TLDL we sang this song as "SNURFING" USA as punk kids.  We competed in the 2nd and 3rd "international" Snurfing contests ( and then snurfed the backside of the hill) in Michigan before itmoved out west!! A Snurfboard was a piece of chit with a rope tied to the front!!  Remember thinking "someday, people will jump with snurfboards" ar ar ar !! 

Online we go!!  Here's some agitprop where the FT confuses cause and effect, and totally sides with the Feds on their lies about the great fiat wars of 2020's: Seriously, tho. Barney Frank actually answered when the FT reached out to him, and Barney spit the truth: TLDR: the FT ignores all that of course. After all, the feds said it was NOT crypto related!! TLDR: dear readers know what THAT means!!! 

The REAL story:  the banks buying crypto banks are dumping crypto because they were TOLD to do so, hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge nudge.  It's very funny, in one bank's case -  they were given a GIFT of 16 billion in cash and prizes and guarantees. Everyone commented on how their stock RIPPED UP!! Ya, but only by about 7 billion ar ar ar !! 

Despite getting the quote from Barney, the FT sings the praises, spreads the agitprop copypasta, and pretends that the takeover banks chose on their own to ditch the crypto.   One FU is agreed by the Judges for this predictable col. 

Finally, we get ANOTHER rehash of anti-Binance agitprop!!  THIS time, complete with the hacked / stolen / whistleblown internal documents that reveal.... exactly the same stuff as last time around!! 

TTLDR: Binance had some dev and admin offices in China as China slowly made it more and more illegal to do crypto there.  The state shut down ICO's in 2017, and all the crypto exchanges had to flee. At that time, employees left in China had to lay low, acting as support and dev staff only.  In 2019, China said they would ban crypto completely, and in 2021 they did. 

Binance employees doing dev & admin in China were told not to wear Binance schwag, and to use VPNs ( like everyone else in the land of the great firewall!!)  By 2020 they seemed to be 100% gone.

The REAL story:  all this was already rehashed by the FT, trust us, we are old enough to remember.  The only diff is now there is internal comms to back it up but it's STILL THE SAME STORY!!!  This is a spin / hack job as always.  The FT prints some pompous meaningless quote from a G>D> #(&#(*&#*& anonymous source of an EX Cfuis official as Binance tries/tried to buy Voyager.  

Binance responded to the FT's bs, saying this agitprop is dramatically mischaracterizing events and not an accurate picture.   Sing it again, CZ. 

The #($&(*&!! FT says "in public, CZ has repeatedly denied that Binance is a Chinese company" and that CZ was "born in China, tho he has Canadian citizenship."   

Wow, WHAT a vicious attack!!    CZ's family fled China, fearing for their actual lives as university professors!!  And Binance was started two months before the Chinese crypto crackdown hit and Binance fled!  Binance was never even incorporated in China!!   

WTF is the POINT!??! like Binance is a Chinese corp so, something?? Just SO not true.  Binance repeats that they have no servers and no ops in China.We call for four out of five FU's for this copypasta, Judges talk us down to 3.5. 

That's IT Watch Army!! Recon complete!! we head back to fun funny crypto!!
