Jim Rickards is a powerhouse, we saw him around at Citibank before he went to Long Term Capital Managment, where he negotiated the multi billion dollar bailout when LTCM crashed the world. It's funny, all the LTCM & adjacent guys repeated the same joke over & over then it turned out to be true - If you owe the bank a million dollars, the bank owns you. But if you owe the bank a BILLION dollars, YOU own the BANK!!! We were offered a tech job at LTCM, but it was for CHIT money - their attitude was you should be so grateful for a chance to work for them. Still can't figure out if it was good or not that we did not take it.
