I know there is a real drama last 24 hours going on about Steemit owners selling their company to Justin Sun from Tron, with so many people spread hate towards the guy and exchanges that supported him not to loose purchased entity.
My 2 cents on this matter:
1. Instead of spreading hate toward Justin Sun, why not question previous owners of Steemit Inc company?
Why not question them, they are the ones who sold your decentralized platform and broke your dreams and their promises.
2. Check closely on all documents, papers, contracts etc. regarding whole purchase, voting rights etc.
I am sure Binance, Huobi, Poloniex and others would not do something criminal, something that would hurt their reputation.
And also I really believe everything these guys did was in accordance to the law, purchasing agreement and protecting private property, until anyone prove me wrong. On the other hand, creating soft form and trying to steal Steem coins is at the very least questionable act, if not criminal as well
3. If you are Steemit user and still don't like the whole idea of Justin Sun being owner of Steemit, you can just sell your Steem and go elsewhere. I am sure Uptrennd, LBRY, SoMee, Publish0x will be glad to accept new, active users.
Same thing when evil Facebook acquired Instagram, people were mad but they continued to use it, didn't move to another app.
To conclude - respect the law and signed contracts, if you don't like new owners - move elsewhere.
