The Tron Foundation, the foundation behind the development of the TRON blockchain, and the TRX cryptocurrency, has bought the blockchain app store CoinPlay. This was announced by Twitter CEO Justin Sun.
With this new acquisition, Tron (TRX) wants to contribute to the aggregation of a wide range of applications and decentralized applications on a single platform, eliminating the need to search for these applications in common application stores. From these statements it can be understood that the idea of Tron is to build a blockchain version of CoinPlay in the form of Google Play (Android app) or App Store (iOS).
CoinPlay is reportedly already offering a variety of blockchain software and games, as well as practical guides, navigation, ratings, and major currency indexes. By acquiring CoinPlay, Tron strives to promote the global adoption of blockchain by facilitating access for new users to the industry.
Second Acquisition Tron in 1 Year
The Blockchain CoinPlay Marketplace is the second major acquisition of the Throne in the past year. In July 2018, Justin Suin received the best-known BitTorrent torrent application, reportedly used by over 100 million users. BitTorrent then launched its own BTT token on blockchaine Tron, which was a huge interest in Binance Launchpad's pre-sale. The BTT token is intended to serve micropayments in this application in the future and to help optimize network speed.
This report is not the only interesting news this week, where the interests of BitTorrent Tron are intertwined. Just yesterday we also informed you that BitTorrent will soon launch a beta version of its BitTorrent Live blockchain social media.
