Why You CAN'T Add TRC20 To Metamask

By FIP Crypto | The Footprint Formula | 18 Nov 2022

The TRC20 network is rather heavily used due to its low transaction fees, but did you know that you can't add it to your Metamask wallet?

This means that any cryptocurrencies that you have on the Tron (TRC20) network, like USDT or USDC, cannot be sent to your Metamask wallet.

The main reason is because Tron uses the Tron Virtual Machine and not the Ethereum Virtual Machine, so the Tron network is not compatible with the EVM.

Since Metamask only supports EVM-compatible networks, the Tron network cannot be added to Metamask.
