An underrated monster in the Splinterlands Crypto Game
When you find yourself in a mid-range mana match, Frozen Soldier can potentially be your best pick if you're using water splinter. Of course, that would be weird if you were considering using Alric Stormbringer as your summoner, but it is a perfect fit for Bortus. This is because Frozen Soldier has high armor, speed, attack and even shield, but low health, making him vulnerable to magic heavy teams.
But if you are using Bortus and the two additional magic nerf monsters, Ruler of the Seas and Elven Mystic, you are reducing the opponent's magic attacks by a whooping 3 damage. Both of these are available in a league as low as Silver. You can now completely ignore tank healing healing! Frozen Soldier will last at least three entire rounds because of his Shield ability, which is more than enough to kill the opposing team before he is defeated.
Our line up so far is Bortus as the summoner, Frozen Soldier as the tank, then Ruler of the Seas and Elven mystic as both damage and backup. Because we are not going to heal, we are in a hurry to finish off the enemy's team as quickly as possible. Considering this team is meant for a midrange mana match (around 25 mana) and we already have used up 19 mana, choosing Pirate Archer and Sabre Shark is our priority.
All in all, this team offers a very strong offense capable of tearing their targets down with both blast and sneak attacks, offering just enough resistance to accomplish this in time. If their tank is not as aggressive as ours, it's going down quickly, even if they have heals. This is because their healer will get picked off by either blast or sneak attacks. This type of strategy relies on nerfs and it's only possible using the Untamed summoners Bortus or Contessa L'ament.
