Personal worries regarding Splinterlands farming

SL Winter is coming

I may not run a bot, but I take Splinterlands daily quest farming very seriously. In two seasons from now (starting in September), there will be a DEC requirement in order to reach certain ranks. Good accounts I'm used to playing will only reach Gold III or Gold II. Getting a lot less reward cards is concerning, but I'm hoping this heavily increased scarcity helps prices by a lot.

When it comes to accounts with my own cards, I'm going to try starting them as low as Silver III and build them from there, simply accumulating reward cards at first so they can reach higher leagues. But I don't think it would be healthy to buy up to Gold III if I don't already have enough cards for that.

Although I've been tempted to run cards on somebody else's service, it has proven itself convoluted. I have to pick cards they agree with or it's not worth their time. That's not good for me, since they prefer expensive monsters I generally wouldn't want to hold one way or another because they are simply not effective.

Gold foils are actually going to help a lot here. Getting as many as possible for as close to their burn value as possible might become a high priority. So I'm looking at buying bad gold foils, not the ones that are actually strong. Weirdly enough, it's now worth playing with just a few useful gold cards like GFLs, since they can get you into much higher leagues than you would otherwise.
