So I really haven't spoken much about this project, but now its time because of its closing in on getting launched. Today its 4 months ago since I opened the idea of starting a decentralized exchange on the social network Uptrennd and the future plans on decentralizing the internet to make trading and much more secure for everyone without they would have to worry if the exchange gets hacked or not.
So let me explain a bit about the exchange. The exchange will be a fully decentralized exchange that will run on the Ethereum blockchain so all trades and information are on the blockchain over a database on the website server and one of the reasons its secure and why that none of the private keys and so on can be reached if the server was to be hacked.
We will not have a normal login system since we will be using Metamask as your account or importing a wallet to the blockchain and start trading. So when you make trades all the trades times are depending on the number of blocks you set and not the number of hours or seconds.
So as I said, we will work on making trading more secure for everyone and we will use the funding we get from trading fee's to develop more secure trading systems for eg a trading platform with different coin pairs like BTC, LTC and so on that all will be running on a blockchain as well as using the same login with a fully new browser plugin like Metamask just for multiple coins.
What tokens will be supported?
Honestly, we will support over 1000 tokens on the exchange as well as very new once like PAR, NOW, 1up and so on. If I had to write every single one of the tokens on here the exchange would never go live because I had to use all my time just to write all single tokens here.
We will support some of the most used once too like BAT, DAI and so on and we are also planning on adding Bounty0x and Project Hydro which also are two awesome projects and tokens.
We will keep adding more and more tokens with time we get them suggested or find them tho we will have to make a community vote if we get too many suggestions where the top 5 will be listed every week or month.
We will also list our own token, tho at this point we aren't sure if we want to sell it or make it mineable only for people who want it.
The Journey
This journey has been so far one of the hardest I've been on for sure. I am a developer, but this is for sure my first blockchain-based development and I didn't know everything that there was so I had to find funding to get help to get the things done that I couldn't do my self and alone just getting money was hard because its hard to find someone that was willing to give up the needed amount of bitcoin to pay the developer, but now its finally found and getting done as I write this post.
There just have been constant work from waking up to going to bed making deals with projects and so on.
