I am always looking for deals and freebies, and the crypto space is no exception. Here are 5 sites and apps I use to earn free crypto:
1. Fold
Fold is an app that gives you a percent back in bitcoin when you purchase gift cards. For example, you might buy a gift card to Amazon and get 2% back in free bitcoin. Some retailers are as high as 20%! Two things I like about this app are that it actually pays (around $30 so far) and the variety of gift cards available (checking this morning I see 38 different gift card choices). 2. Pei
Pei is another app that pays you cash back in bitcoin. It is linked to your credit cards (some people might be uncomfortable about this) and automatically adds points to your account when you shop there. I am lucky that a number of stores (even my grocery store!) around me are available for the program. I have used this app for over a year and it has paid me multiple times. The current sign up bonus is $5 (use code exp1 for a bonus) but the app is only available in the United States.
3. Publish0x
If you are reading this, then you know about Publish0x. It is a great site that connects readers to independent authors and bloggers and rewards everyone in the form of tipping cryptocurrency. The site has a generous minimum payout, and gives you an opportunity to learn a great deal about crypto.
4. Coinbase Earn
There is a lot of fair criticism of Coinbase as an exchange, but you have to give the company some props for Coinbase Earn. I believe it is a great tool that teaches noobs about crypto (like myself), but also rewards the user with free crypto and gives a great deal of attention to tokens and coins that are part of the program. When there are many new people learning about a token, there are going to be many new users as well, which benefits the entire community.
5. Rollercoin
My final source of free crypto is mostly just for fun – Rollercoin. Rollercoin simulates a mining operation but allows you to earn free Bitcoin, free Doge, and free Ethereum in the process. You earn fake hash power by playing games (fun, old-style ones), but then that allows you to “mine” crypto and buy miners for your operation. The simulated mining allows you to earn real crypto. It really is a lot of fun (even now it is distracting me from finishing my writing).
