TheCryptoComparisonSeries 18b : Continuing the SONM(SNM) saga: more about fog computing.

Excelencia started this series after noticing that there can be a lot of difference between the position of a token against $, BTC and ETH.

Noticing for the first time this difference in AMPl, Excelencia got curious to see these different positions in other tokens.

SONM(SNM)

What is motivating to continue (see part one again or at first) the "SONM(SNM) saga" in Excelencia's TheCryptoComparisonSeries, is:

1. Excelencia's curiosity to see the actual evolution of the price information of SONM(SNM), after the astrological rise in Volume (1,638B)from Sunday, november 20 at 11:33 am UTC, time at which he saw this token appear at rank 1 in Livecoinwatch's Trending Coins:

Comparing below the price information for Sunday 20 and monday, november 21 we can see the real definition of price volatility in working:

Observation:

Within less then 48 hours, values have falled down as spectacularly as they had rocketed on Sunday.
Nevertheless on todays wednesday, november 23, the 1 Year USD(+111.1%), BTC(+617.2%) and ETH(+648.5%) values remain attractive enough for Excelencia, to continue his exploration of SONM(SNM).

It is also worth noticing, that since last Sundays post, SONM(SNM) has amassed 1.7K more followers(39.8K vs 38.1 k) on twitter, see screenshot below, taken today wednesday at 8:33 am UTC:. The number of tweets(1,166) hasn't changed yet.

Meanwhile our good old Ampleforth quietly ripples on and off as usual, very reliable from the start.

SONM(SNM)'s twitter account is active since January 2017, where it is presented as

"a Global Leading Fog Computing Firm, the First IPFS+NFT Gem."

What is Fog Computing?

Fog computing[1][2] or fog networking, also known as fogging,[3][4] is an architecture that uses edge devices to carry out a substantial amount of computation (edge computing), storage, and communication locally and routed over the Internet backbone.

The main users of Sonm are Customers and Suppliers:

Customers(KYC required) can select any rental time or computer architecture they need for their project and they set the cost.

Suppliers are the resource owners. They can earn tokens by selling computing power peer-to-peer to Customers to launch their applications.

Instead of constructing data centers, let’s distribute hardware between homes is the slogan used on the Sonm(SNM)website.

Suppliers can be Service Admins sharing their excessive capacity on the Sonm marketplace, crypto miners by providing equipment to Sonm, which can use it for real-world applications or PC users when they are not using their computer.

Investors can be part of Sonm(SNM) by holding the SNM token, an ERC-20 standard token based on Ethereum. The SNM token functions as payment for the equivalent computing power on the Sonm platform.

An SNM holder can establish a PoS masternode that will be a part of the Sonm network. The masternode will check and confirm SNM transactions and provide token circulation from the Ethereum blockchain to the Sonm Sidechain. Running a masternode will benefit an owner: the more SNM they have, the better.
