The brewery has been brewing junmai (pure rice wine) from organically grown rice since 1974, and became a founding member of the "Society for Making Good Food" in 1975. Since the Great East Japan Earthquake, however, the brewery was rebuilt, and this provided an opportunity to create new products such as BIO, which has a modern, lightly acidic flavor, and SHIZUNA, which uses Fukushima Prefecture's proprietary Utsukushima Dream Yeast (F7-01). The company also released a new series called "Seven". All of these sakes have a refreshing quality and are completely different in style from their predecessors. In addition to the regular lineup, "Hello, Cooking" with its e-postcard-style label has become a hidden long-selling product.
