Update on Crypto I mine and ones I don't

By TrocProcLock | Earning that Crypto | 11 Jan 2020

These are my personal opinions and experiences. You may have completely different experiences. I work in IT but not anything related to Crypto. Crypto is my hobby and as such I am not a professional at all of this.

I want to take a stroll down Crypto lane and revisit the currencies I have been mining the ones I started to mine recently and the ones I won't.

TFUEL

So when I joined Sliver months and months ago somebody in the comments mentioned the PGN and the ability to earn TFUEL outside of sliver to be used as you see fit. I jumped at the opportunity. I have had the Pre-Guardian Node running almost 24/7 for the last 3 months. I have earned a few thousand TFUEL and since it does not use the CPU or GPU it doesn't effect my computer negatively. It only uses my unused upload bandwidth to share streams and earn the TFUEL. I love it and don't see myself stopping anytime soon. I have not traded/sold my TFUEL and am just saving it and playing the long game with it. I have faith in the Sliver network and believe that the price of TFUEL is on it's way up.

XMR

So I only found about how to mine XMR about a week ago. And after a day I quit mining because it wasn't that beneficial to me and I thought it wasn't worth it. But I have since gone back and started mining XMR again with XMrig. I made some tweaks to the config json file and I am seeing a little better results than I originally did. I don't have a lot of XMR at the moment but as time goes on I will build a little stash of it. I plan to keep my XMR as XMR and not sell or trade it. I like to diversify my investments and I don't feel good or bad ab out XMR so I will keep it as it until I feel otherwise. Does anyone have any suggestions on XMR?

I setup a mining rig based on their recommended settings and guidelines but only after I set it up did I realize you can't join a pool when you use their recommended software. So in order to join a pool I would have to install a 3rd party software. I have still not gone back to Zcash and taken a stab at the 3rd party software. I still might down the road but just not now. So for now I am not holding any Zcash and I am not sure I will ever pick it back up. I mean don't get me wrong I think what Zcash is trying to do is awesome. I just think that a separate currency for it is a little much.

On the mobile app you don't actually mine anything as it's 'fake' mining but the ETN you receive is really yours to keep. Mining it is a slow process so I don't have a ton but I have been doing it 24/7 for about 3 months now. There is little to no effort to get this free Electroneum so I think it's a no brainer.

I honestly didn't think I was going to continue this guy. I started because I saw a post on here by jka about his experiment with it and I tried it out. Since then I have grown to love the software. It is a browser based on Chromium that has heavy customization/skin. While the browser is up it actually mines XMR with your CPU load. It then pays you out in BTC. It has real stats of Hash-rate, payout, your network of other miners, etc. It has a slider that lets you adjust your CPU usage and as such your Hash-rate. The reason I keep it is because the payout isn't to bad and the browser handles CPU strain very well. When I open up other application it scales down the CPU load and vise versa.  If you install this browser make sure to reboot your computer before you use. You can even have multiple browsers sync'd up to the same account. I was nervous at first but I have received payouts (takes about 3 days for me).

I love LynxChain (LNX). It just came out last week. The simple explanation is that it’s a wallet that you download and has some dApps within. You can play Bomb-sweeper and Alien Invasion to earn from LNX. Also if you just install the software without using a referral code you won't start with any LNX. If you download it with someone's referral code you will start with 1 LNX. You can also make up to 3 accounts per person. The 1 thing to note is that if you are in your 2nd or 3rd account you can't play the games because it says you need to login with your primary account to earn LNX. This currency I am not investing a tone of time or energy into except a couple times each day just opening up the app and playing Alien Invasion or maybe a few games of Bomb-sweeper. The one thing I can't figure out is Chirp. It costs .1LNX to post something but I am not sure how you earn LNX using it. When more games get added I am sure I will be playing it a lot more.

(I couldn't get technical screenshot, but based on my math right now at posting LNX is
$ 0.38143709 USD)

There is a lot I could say about the Brave Browser and BAT but I will try to keep it short. In my post I guessed that I have been using Brave for about 6 months. Turns out I was wrong I checked CoinBase and I earned BAT on May 3 2019 from watching their videos and downloaded it the same day and never looked back. At first I was an idiot and all the BAT I earned I traded for BTC or various other currencies. It wasn't until recently that I really wanted to start investing in BAT and getting a pretty big lump of BAT to call my own. So when I earn BAT from watching ads on Brave I always give a 50% back to content providers and then export the other 50% and save it. Brave truly is the best browser that is available to us and it blocks ads natively. Oh and yeah it pays you money each money if you chose to watch specific ads.

This one I do not mine, and to be honest I haven't even thought about mining until I started to right this. **todo list look up Tezos mining** This is another token I got from Coinbase Earn. The thing that I liked about Tezos and Coinbase is that you could stake your coins and earn "interest" on it. So every 3 days you get a portion of your Tezos. There is a lot more details than that but that's the short version. The more you hold the more you make for free. So I bought more XTZ over the last month or so to beef up my rewards that I earn on it. I think it's a pretty safe bet.

Those are not every coin that I hold but those are the coins I am passionate about and wanted to share with maybe people who are not to familiar with all the different currencies or how to earn them.

Various other coins on CoinBase that let you earn a free amount for watching information videos about them:
Full disclosure if you follow the links below you earn free currency and I also get a little for referring you.
