So last week I installed Netbox Browser. I have seen some posts here about the browser and how you can earn some crypto. I thought I would give it a try and see how crappy of a return I got on it.
When I installed it I was told I would get 20 NBX just for setting up the built in Wallet. It took a day to get the 20 NBX but I got it. I immediately started Staking that 20 NBX. There is a Staking function built right into the Browser. It takes about 30 minutes for the NBX you want to stake to actually be staked. So after that I played around with the browser a little bit and thought nothing of it over the weekend and forgot about it until 2 days ago.
2 days ago I thought I would check on the staking rewards. At the time I didn't know if we earned daily, weekly or what. Turns out I get paid out at around 3:15 am every morning. But what caught my eye was on 1/18/20 I received a "activity" amount of NBX. I earned 0.05 NBX for just surfing the web.
It's a different approach then say the Brave Browser which pays you for the ads you receive but you have no real control over how many you get. So on 1/23/20 I decided to start surfing the web occasionally. And turns out I earned another .005 NBX. Now don't get me wrong that isn't a lot. But here is the interesting part. I visited 76 websites on 1/24/20 and the next morning I received 0.44 NBX. Which is a huge increase from the day before. Now I don't know if Netbox pays you for how many sites you visit or how long it is actively opened on your computer. That I still need to test out. However, since you can add any amount to your staking amount each day after you get paid you can just add that little bit and earn compounded interest.
I have heard some people are not getting the 20 NBX sign up bonus anymore but others are. So my recommendation is if you are thinking about it, just install the Browser via a Referral Link and check in on it every couple days and put your earning into being staked. It's literally free money even if you don't use it to surf the web.
Me personally I have it up and use it to search things online or random tasks online. I also have Brave up on my 2nd monitor with everything I do on a normal day online. So I earn the Brave ads Rewards and the NBX for surfing on Netbox. Netbox takes like a third of the resources as Brave.
I do not know for sure what the staking return on investment is but I can say for me I put in 20 NBX and am getting about 0.02 NBX each day. So that is .1% return on investment daily.
Now to the Referral Program. You can join Netbox without a Referral and should get 20 NBX after you create the wallet. However if you use a Referral Link, you AND I both will get 1 NBX day 1, then if you use the browser for a week we both get 3 NBX and if you use it for a month we both get another 6 NBX. There site does say the 20 NBX is for the first 125,000 users but don't say how many they have so far.
