Hi everyone,
Here I am going to show you some more pictures taken by me of animals in the wild on Mauritius Island, but also pictures of the nature. You can always see my first post about pictures taken in Brazil and Gibraltar here :

These two pictures are one of my favorite photos of my honeymoon trip to Mauritius Island last year. In the pictures you see red whiskered bulbul birds and in the first photo they are in front of the 7-colored earth in the Chamarel area. It is a tourist attraction and I got lucky catching two bulbul birds with the beautiful scene behind it ! The bulbul birds are common on the island.

This is a cardinal bird on Mauritius Island. You can find this type of bird every now and then when you look around carefully. This one I actually found near my hotel room in a palm tree. I have a fascination for birds with bright colors. I always wonder why Darwin evolution gave it such a bright orange color…..

A Mauritius Fody bird that I spotted during a boat tour and this bird is to be found on the southwest part of the island. You will only find these birds on the “ile aux aigrettes”.

Still Mauritius Island and on this picture you see two Martin Triste birds on a palm tree at my hotel room. These birds were quite common and I saw them every day.

Two beautiful macaque monkeys right in front of me and I just had to take a picture. Behind the monkeys there are valleys and in these valleys I saw several white “Paille en queue” birds flying, but unfortunately I was not able to capture them well. This type of bird is an endangered specie and has a long tail. Maybe next time I will be able to get a good picture, because I want to go back to this beautiful island !

This is the last picture and it was not possible for me to leave a photo out of the beaches that surround this wonderful island. It is a dream of me to live on an island one day and this is definitely a candidate !
Thank you for watching and hopefully you will like the photos. They are all taken by me with a Nikon Coolpix P310.
