In 1502, Borromee Islands was redeemed by the diocese of Novara by the Borromeo family, the gardens were in sequence an orchard, then an olive grove and finally a citrus grove; until the end of the 1700s.
Today, however, the garden style is English, these botanical gardens can boast of native flowers and plants from all over the world: magnolias and bamboo groves, scented xylophilic pergolas, citrus peels, parrots of ancient camellia and tanks full of water lilies or lotus flowers.
