MERCURY ACCEPTED INTO SOUTH AFRICAN IFWG 

I first mentioned the connection to the South African project working on the country's CBDS . Now Mercury has been accepted into the Intergovernmental Fintech Working Group (IFWG)

The foreign exchange company was chosen for their for in partnership with Ripple and VALR a cryptocurrency exchange. As the cohort is aimed at regulatory framework for digital assets and developing the South African CBDC . The CBDC project is named KHOKA2 (KH2). The first phase of Khokha has been completed and the South African Reseve Bank (SARB) together with the IFWG have laid out the framework for the regulations that will govern digital currencies in the country. With policy and regulations given in the last report of the KH2 project. The IFWG was formed by the government to determine the role of fintech and innovation in the South African financial markets. 50 companies applied for the opportunity to be apart of this inaugural regulatory sandbox. Mercury was chosen as one of the 6 companies and are the second of the 6 companies that utilizes xrp for faster, reliable and cheaper cross border payments. The announcement by the company has made thier dream for the future of cryptocurrencies clear. Blockchain-based money transfers will be the key catalyst in dramatically reducing the time and money spend on  cross border payments in and out of South Africa. 

AFRICA AND HOW MUCH BLOCKCHAIN COULD HELP. 

The idea of getting payments done faster basically instant with ODL now that idea will be the difference between life and death or prosperity and poverty.  South Africa is in a sense the America of Africa there are many foreign people from all over Africa that come the the country to work. They send the little hard earned cash back home for their family to survive.  These remittances costs alot of money and causes the families desperately in need of that money to have to struggle to receive money from their hard working family member.  If these problems can be resolved it will help Africa and the very poor to life better lives. 

This is only the beginning XRP will change the world.
