I have noticed that the most trending tokens are Meme based and DeFi related Token. Whenever you go on crypto exchange platform you will realize they will be hyping these 2 token types.

Why Could they be Doing So?

Hyping is done for a different reasons, its either the traders on those platforms they will be pumping them so that the price will rise while they are holding so that they will make them reach higher prices and when they are satisfied with the prices they reach they will then sell them off and dump them. So if you see a token being pumped that does not mean you should buy, it might be a trap.

Another reason for hyping it will be done to create awareness so that the token will be known well so as to increase the adoption rate and therefore create value out of that token, e.g a token can be used for tipping purposes so

Lastly some scammers they know very well that Decentralized Finance tokens and meme tokens are the most trending so they might create their useless tokens and sell them to investors but soon after they pocked their millions they will dump the project and move on to the next. The meme tokens are on the rise these days and this could be the result of Doge when it wa bullish so investors will be looking to invest in new Meme tokens because it might be too late on Doge
