Fern covered tents

By ervin-lemark | Dear Diary | 8 Dec 2020

Monday, December 7th, 2020. An interesting day. Late-night run, afternoon hike with dogs, errands in between.

Here are some photos from the forest hike. We found some fancy shelters with strong branches covered with fern.

Puma inspected this tent erected a the top of the hill called Tabor. Centuries ago it was a lookout point and enforcement when the Ottoman Empire was invading these lands.

A close view of the tent against the setting sun.

Another tent-like structure above the meadow where the kids love to play.

The meadow without the snow, unfortunately. The rain of the last two days has melted it away.

Trivia

Did you know that fern is one of the oldest living organisms still very much alike and kicking (figuratively) in the present day? It predates dinosaurs.
