In a post on DeBank I wrote down the best airdrops of 2024 (IMO) and the worst. 2024 was a devastating year for airdrops, certainly even better than the previous year (among others in 2023 I received 12000 $Arb, 1000 $Tia, 5000 $Pyth). If you are a newbie and don't know what airdrops are, I'll explain it to you simply:
"if you use a chain, dex, bridge, exchange, NFT market that does not have its own Governance token...when (and IF) it is launched you will receive it for free"
Almost all projects launch their own Governance token. There are those who are already born with it and those who will launch it (maybe) in the future. For the best/worst airdrops I will take into consideration: expectations, fees spent, ease of obtaining it.
BEST AIRDROP OF 2024
It is impossible not to include Hyperliquid in 1st place, since I received about 3500 $Hype (1 $Hype in ATH reached 35$!). Really there are those who think that airdrops are a waste of time? Are you kidding? Are there really people who still use centralized exchanges? For the same operations that a trader does on Binance...if he had used Hyperliquid he would have had a lifechanger. These people confuse small giveaways of a few dollars or random draws with airdrops. It is a completely different stuff and the capital received is enormously different.
Evaluate for yourself (I used 5 addresses; I spent about $400 in fees):

Ah on Hyperliquid they also dropped a memecoin $Purr, about 2k of airdrop. That alone has more than repaid the fees. 2nd deserved position for the controversial Zksync: 100k $Zk (in ATH around 0.30$, however bad price action in the following months, even if it is now on the rise). $Saga in third position because I received 9 airdrops! (this is different from the others because if you want to receive future airdrops you have to stake 99% of what you receive each time).
Who was better Wormhole or LayerZero? Wormhole was bigger because there were less users, however LayerZero was the one with the best price action in the following months. However for me $W was bigger. Dymension is very high because at listing it was a very big airdrop, however in the following months it had a terrible price action.

WORST AIRDROP 2024
The first 2 positions were quite obvious and choosing the worst between Scroll and Venom was not easy. The worst would be Venom because it did not give anything, however I included Scroll because it went just over the fees spent. My Scroll airdrop (5 address):
Be careful, even if I put Scroll as the worst of the year, it only depends on the high expectations that were there and the team that behaved badly (I took away the fees spent, I earned little, however I'm holding it for the Bull Market!). In "economic" terms in flop 15 there are also those who gave less money! Some of these mentioned have been controversial because they listed before airdropping to the community (Mode, Ethermail, LogX), others launched terribly (Nim, Kroma, Holograph, Sanctum, Polyhedra), others used bad criteria (Dmail), others were unlucky with high user numbers (Hamster Kombat).

WHAT AM I FARMING FOR THE NEXT MONTHS AND FUTURE 2025?
As you can see in the top/flop list, not 100% of airdrops lead to huge/good results but I would say that 80% do. Obviously do NOT expect the "new" Hyperliquid, really difficult. However it is absolutely worth it, if you operate on chain.

I use a maximum of 8 addresses. The limit to not be labeled as sybil is 10. Using multi-address is also useful for preserving your funds...trying new platforms in DeFi.
Remember, I share my operation for free. There are many people around who create private groups on Telegram/Discord and get paid (90% of them don't even have my experience). I am for full sharing of information, precisely because I earn first hand and I do NOT need subscriptions. The only thing I shared the links (some with ref) both to avoid possible phishing sites and because some give fee discounts if you use it! (they are similar to Binance and Coinbase).
