I have no doubt that the best sports tournament in Sorare is MLB. This is my personal opinion. Football has a greater audience, the NBA is an American tournament but also very popular in Europe and Asia. Instead MLB baseball is mainly followed in the USA, Asia (Japan) and Central America. However out of these 3 sports, MLB is my favorite.
Many users will tell you that entering Football by investing now is the opportunity of a lifetime. Prices in the NBA have also dropped, for teams not making the playoffs or those eliminated. Indeed it is. Football card prices have plummeted as the European season draws to a close. People play, make profits, speculate, sell cards at the end of the season and the price goes down. It is normal law of the market. I was thinking of making some purchases on Football and NBA but only speculative purchases because the prices are low. It's a bit like choosing whether to buy BTC at 70k or 25k, which one do you choose? Obviously, however, my purchases on Football and the NBA would only be speculative: I buy, hold and resell when prices rise. If they will get back up but I think they will. Only speculative because now I'm only focused on MLB. My considerations are on the 3 sport. Not so much on the game economy. Even if I don't like the "cap" introduced in the NBA and in some football tournaments but that's personal opinions. This is a typical trend of Football cards, as you can see at the end of the season we are close to the bottom:

Sorare should probably reward long-term holders in some way. However for new subscribers these are good times. The referral program has also been modified these days, trying to provide more incentives for those who refer friends and family. Sorare can be tried for free, receiving common for Football, NBA and MLB. However, you can only receive tradable cards (ref reward) if you win 5 auctions (for now you can decide to receive only Football and NBA cards as ref reward). It doesn't matter if you spend $1 or $5, the important thing is to win 5 auctions. If you intend to immerse yourself in this adventure signing up on Sorare, remember that it is possible to deposit ETH directly from your Metamask or using a credit card. On Sorare there are no transaction fees because it uses the Starkex layer2.

Of course, remember to do your research before investing any money. Mine is never financial advice. In addition, you may be enticed to participate in Football or NBA tournaments. That's fine, everyone has their own preferences. I prefer MLB but that's my personal opinion. In this article I will illustrate news, prizes won so far and my wallet in ETH.
MLB NEWS
The main change was the addition of new tournaments: American/National League for limited/rare cards. However, the "hottest" one is certainly the addition of ETH as a reward. ETH has been added for Pro Leagues: Limited, Rare, Super Rare.
What does this mean? If you finish in the top 100 in Limited Pro, in addition to winning a card, you will also win a prize in ETH. All this every 3 days.
I am participating in 10 tournaments:
-common (free)
-limited pro
-limited all stars
-limited american
-limited national
-rare pro
-rare all star
-rare american
-rare national
-super rare all star
The main goal is to trade cards that I no longer consider useful to my roster, accumulating more and more ETH. At the same time, however, reinforcing the roster to try to participate in the Super Rare Pro which has really frighteningly beautiful prizes. Tournaments with unique cards remain out of reach, however accumulating more and more Super Rare cards could one day make me take the leap to the whales.

PRIZES WON: ETH AND CARDS
How's the first month of MLB going? Average well. Clearly some negative GW happened but overall I think this start of the season is very positive. Good card wins, good ETH prizes and great capital gains for players that are not functional to my roster.
These are the prizes won in cards:

Among the yellows, the best results were certainly Cortes and Wheeler. Even Rizzo cannot be thrown away. Among the reds (rare) I am very happy to have won Volpe ($160 average price), D.Williams ($80) and Rizzo ($75).
The super rare cards Hoerner is worth about $700. That gameweek was just insane. I won Hoerner Super Rare and $250 in ETH. I finished in second place in Rare Pro, just 0.70 points off first place (I would have won Adolis Garcia and $400 in ETH).
A few days later I received a Hoerner-Bogaerts trade offer and I accepted. It seemed to me a particularly advantageous proposition because I consider Bogaerts stronger than Hoerner.
I'm holding Refsnyder instead (it's worth about $170), however I'm not particularly happy with it anymore.
These days, I have had to reluctantly sell Corbin Carroll. Carroll is a young outfielder with high hopes. I won this card last year. I declined offers of $500, however I received a particularly advantageous one for about $1,000 worth.
Carroll in exchange for:
-Torres (super rare)
-Conforto (super rare)
-Pete Alonso (rare)
-0.1 ETH (about $180)

Carroll sold at the latest auctions for $700.
This user offered me about $1000, I couldn't resist and accepted. Torres' performance is similar to Carroll's so in Super Rare I won't get big jolts. Conforto is a good upgrade. Alonso allows me to massively beef up rare cards. 0.1 ETH we don't throw it away, right?
Carroll, however, if he has a boom in performance, he can even reach $1,200/1,300. However, no one can know the future.
Last GW was very positive because I won Volpe (rare), D.Williams (rare) and two other Limited + $25 in ETH. Total equivalent value of GW? $300.
This is my budget (only ETH):
In this little piggy bank are my profits. They come from excess card sales, card trading, ETH rewards.
I have accumulated 0.3 ETH and have more early season cards and a much stronger roster. SorareData indicates a value in cards of my account of about 3.1 ETH, however they are not liquid because they are cards (NFT). The liquid value (true profit) is this 0.3 ETH. The road is the right one but I have to try to make fewer mistakes and choose the teams to line up better. Mistakes have often cost me much better prizes.
